This was one if my favorite healthy restaurants when I spent the semester abroad. The pitaya bowls are so fresh with lots of fruit and homemade granola on top. Also, they have lovely iced coffee, which I enjoyed being there for a full semester and missing American Iced coffee. Also, try their banana bread and add peanut butter on top:)

Smoothie up!!

Everytime I come in Florence, everytime I go to Shake. This is very close from the Train/Tram stations Santa Maria Novella, easy to find. The food is fresh and made in the minute. I can not leave the city without having one of their smoothie bowls, juices or snacks... especially the chocolate smoothie ! The service is just a service, too much people to deal with, tables or take aways so they obviously don't have a lot of time to talk and its understandable. Cool place for everybody, vegans, vegetarians and the others.

We came here for brunch and we were so happy with the menu being healthy that we thought we would try it. Ordering system easy and good. It is not table service but rather sit at a table and then order food at the main entrance. You are then given a bleeper to collect your food when it’s ready. Whilst sat at our table waiting for our food a member of staff put a post it note next to it for reservations and said no more. I looked at the notes and they said 1pm (it was about 11:30am at this point). Our food arrived which was delicious as you can see form the photo but half way through eating (about 11.55am), the same staff member comes over and tells us we need to move tables right now as our one was booked. I asked where we could go and she just said she didn’t know and will check. She did not come back and we had to put ourself on a table outside with half eaten food. Never have I had such poor experience service! If she has said when she put the stickers we would have moved there and then. My advise is if you do eat here to either book or make sure that the table you sit at is free before you do. If I had not experienced that I would have given it 5*s!

When I went in to get a latte, after the necessary queue at the checkout, the employee addressed me: "Dear, tell me". I ask him for a latte and he says "expensive it's 1.30". So, apart from the unsolicited confidence, apart from 1.30 a coffee with a drop of milk to be taken standing at the counter, apart from the fact that the staff at the counter never turn towards the waiting customers, but you have to say it out loud order like at any company restaurant, except that the coffee is placed on a counter full of already used cups and mine has to make its way through the dirty cups. Sorry, but then do you complain if business isn't going well? You are just lucky, you are in a tourist place and people don't choose to come to you, but they fall for it! I'm attaching the receipt just to show that it's not a fake review!

If you are trying to have a sit and order here with English, you should avoid this place😄 I was completely ‘discriminated’★ (15th, Aug., around 12pm) I’m Korean and was looking for a quick breakfast meal. I asked a staff if I could sit on a table outside which was clearly empty, but she said she couldn’t speak nor understand English. What’s interesting here is that she answered all of my questions with FLUENT ‘ENGLISH’ though she said she doesn’t speak any. It’s such a shame I don’t remeber her name but she had dreadlocks. ++ you should check your email. I have attached some pictures^^ Also it’s actually non-sense that I cannot use a table bcs she doesn’t understand English in Italy. Plus, other people sitting on the table were clearly speaking English! Haha 가지마세요 인종차별 식당 자리 있냐고 영어로 물어보니 영어 이해 못하고 말 못한다는걸 영어로 답변함^^ 옆에서 영어로 주문한 듯 보이는 외국인 3명이 상황 이해하고 희한하게 생각했을 정돟ㅎㅎㅎㅎ 똑같은 질문으로 옆 식당가서는 문제없이 착석했네요ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Shake Café experience

Shake Café is a great spot to grab a quick lunch for the go! I made my own customized salad and it was very delicious. The ingredients are very fresh and my salad hit the spot. Shake Café was very busy when I went around 1pm so I won't lie the service was a little slow but the food was worth the wait. Their shops are always clean and if you find a place to seat inside the place itself is very pretty. You can also take your food to go which is what I did and the staff gave me a plate, napkins, utensils, and a bag to take my salad in which I thought was convenient. They have a big menu so salads are not their only thing! They also have pastries, smoothies, coffee, wraps and açaí bowls. Will definitely be coming back to try their other products as well!!!

We are SO happy we found this place, I know we are in Italy but we were completely pizza and pasta-ed out and had been desperately looking around Rome and then Florence for a healthy veggie place to eat but everywhere has been closed! We stumbled across this place accidentally and we’re so happy when we saw their brilliant menu. They have so many veggie options like mexican style and humours wraps, different smoothie bowls, avo on toast, sweet potato fries and a lot more and their portion sizes are big! The staff are friendly, the vibe is great and we ate here every day in Florence. There are 3 of these cafes dotted around but we went to this one. Definitely recommended!! 🙂

A sweet and diversified place!

We stopped by this place with a friend in the middle of the afternoon. The indoor seating is cozy and comfortable, and the menu is really diversified. We could have brunch even at 3pm and the staff is so friendly. Each seat has two plugs, which is very useful when your phone is discharged after a whole day of tourism!

I went to this cafe everyday while in Florence at a different time everyday. It has delicious, fresh, and good quality food and drinks with a diverse range. The food and drinks had sizeable portions for reasonable prices. The food is incredibly tasty with friendly and fast service. All the food options looked pretty healthy. The food was able to be eaten at the cafe or taken to go. There was also plenty of vegetarian options since my mum is one and she had no issues as she often does. Could not recommend this places and its food enough.

Good if you need a quick coffee. I’ve noticed if a specific barista is working then my coffees are only good when he makes them. Also every time I order food the staff makes it seem like an inconvenience. No one really seems to know what they’re doing.

I am a true meat enthusiast (fish, beef, pork, lamb, etc.), for me the wife's invitation to try healthy cooking could have been a bit of spite; I guarantee that I ate delicious and healthy things. I enjoyed an Asian Bowl and tasted a Veggi burger; the portions are very generous so it's best to share. To drink? a juicer called REJUVENATE (rejuvenate!!) based on celery, grapes, apple... good and lots of it. You can also compose your own salads or have dishes from the kitchen served. The restaurant on Via Cavour is very nice, very informal staff, young place. low prices, to be returned

If you have got tired of eating Pizza and pasta in Italy , do drop by at @shakecafe . I stayed 2 days in Florence and both the days I made sure I would eat here . Super healthy , great service and everything was good . The place was lively and you feel like , you just want to hang around for an extra hour .

Perfect for brunch

Pleasant place to go for the morning coffee and pastry, also try the sandwiches and the bowls. In both of our days in florence we've had the brunch there. Would recommend de backed potatoes with smashed avocado and the nordic sandwich with salmon. Prices are reasonable for what you get. The also had vegan alternatives, from croissants to bowls and smoothies. Don't miss it!
