By far the BEST and I do mean the BEST gelato hands down in all of Italy that I have had - my own humble opinion.

After living in Florence I can say without a doubt that this is the best gelato that I have ever had in the entire city (and in all of Italy, for that matter!). Although the location is small, the staff is so sweet and they are generous with the amount of gelato that they give you. The flavors are made... More

This gelateria is right across from Ferragamo on a delightful little square where you frequently get a free concert with your gelato. The gelato is the creamiest we had in Florence and the flavors were both unique and fresh. We sampled most of the top gelaterias in Rome, Florence and Venice, but returned to this little place at least three... More

Nothing special considering Italian level of Ice Cream. But, still good. My favorite is the pistacchio here.

Very good. It's in line with prices all over the city. Be sure to taste Buontalenti/Crema Fiorentina. There is plenty of space just outside to sit down and enjoy your gelato.

I was walking from the River back to the City Center and noticed a Gelato place on the right side of Plaza Santa Trinita. I had not eaten in quite a while, and wanted a snack en route to the other side of the city, so I stopped in, little knowing that I was about to taste two of the... More

This was hands down the best gelato we tried in Florence. The employees were exceptionally personable and helpful. For the price, you can't beat it.

This is hands down the best gelato I have eaten in years, perhaps ever. The peanut butter and cappuccino flavours were heavenly (and the dark chocolate is truly very, very dark) and I'm sad I won't be able to try them all. Flavour, consistency, and temperature were all perfect, and the the employees were incredibly sweet and friendly. Do yourself... More

Staying in Uffizi

Neighborhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
