My wife and I ate at some highly rated restaurants during our time in Italy, but we both agree, this place was the best. It is small (reservations are essential), but cozy. Our waiter and the chef, who often came into the dining area to check up, were extremely pleasant and offered top notch service. The slow cooked pork with... More

We reserved here based on reviews and were not disappointed, except for an other visitor who was very impolite. The other visitors were kind The waiter was very friendly and knowledgable. He knows what he sells. We had the " local tuna" which can be compared to pulled pork. It waa accompanied by artichoke, white beans, zucchini, yoghurt and lots... More

We booked here on the basis of other Tripadvisor reviews and were so delighted with our meal we booked to go back again. Each dish is created with careful attention and the waiter (a joint-owner with the chef) is able to tell you about the ingredients and how they were prepared. A lovely relaxed atmosphere that is suited to tables... More

When it comes to paying for meals out I admit I am a meanie. But I have always wanted to splash out, so I could talk about the most expensive meal I've ever had, and cross it off my bucket list. So, I had a nice small beer for £7. Probably twice what I've ever paid before. And we had... More

On my sixth visit to Florence my friends and I had dinner here and we all thought it was amazing! I had the slow cooked pork with a bit of orange, cooked for 8 hours and served with a chestnut cream sauce and truffles. It was heaven on a plate. With only 5 tables it's a hard restaurant to get... This was our top restaurant to eat at because of their trip advisor reviews. We were massively disappointed. The waiter slammed the door in our face when we arrived 8 mins before they opened and rudely pointed to the closed sign even though the door was unlocked. The restaurant has recently been sold and neither myself or my husband enjoyed... More

One of the better meals we had in Florence. As others have elaborated on, it's an intimate setting with a small menu, larger wine list, and lovely homestyle cooking (or what I, as a tourist, imagine to be homestyle). Highly recommend the beef carpaccio and the pulled pork main. The latter comes with a somewhat smallish portion of pork but... More

This is a simple and charming restaurant with just a handful of tables. The menu is short and limited, understandable with just 1 person in the kitchen. We ordered what turned out to be a perfectly cooked risotto with speck and truffles. So delicious.... Tuscan cooking at its simplest. Warm and welcoming service too!

We found this place as the top rated non sandwich place on trip advisor, and now we know why. Charming, quirky interior, with knowledgeable staff and incredible food. We had a Tuscan wine, as the restaurant's theme is minimum food miles, and it was one of the best we had on our trip. The Tonno Toscana with truffles was out... More

The quality of the food and atmosphere is matched by the friendly, helpful, but overwhelmingly knowledgeable staff. The restaurant is tiny, and I would recommend booking. The food is locally sourced (sometimes hyper-locally), and all top-quality. I shared the meat & cheese platter with my associate and it blew our minds- the quality of the tastes & textures across the.... More
