On the recommendation of a tour guide I lunches here. I was told the €12 special includes a dish, water and coffee. The coffee and coperto aren’t included anymore. However it is still great value.
More importantly the food is superb. I had burrata cooked in cuttlefish. It was absolutely delicious. I also tasted the cacia e pepe pasta which was divine.
Good coffee and pleasant service too. I understand they even cater for fussy eaters/vegans

Not knowing where to go for dinner in Florence can be pretty frustrating but if you ask, everyone has a recommendation. This one was recommended by a friend who has been in Florence for a few weeks and it did not disappoint!
We had the meat and cheese board to start - it was plenty for 3 of us. Usually when I read reviews about bad service in Europe, I don’t mind it because it might just be that the server didn’t hover over you every couple minutes to see what you need. In Europe they typically let you enjoy your meal and take as much time as you’d like but that’s not what I’m picking up in Florence. I felt like the server wanted us to order quickly. We didn’t and he left us alone for a bit. When we did order, the busser came and cleared our table and took our silverware but we didn’t have our food yet!
Anyway, he apologized and we got our food, orders another bottle of wine and some dessert. The pasta was very fresh and hand made. We spent a little over €100 and we hung out for about 3 hours. Overall it was a good experience once they figured out we weren’t your typical Americans in a hurry.

Thank you for the nice review you wrote. Aside from the misunderstanding with the waiter that can happen, I'm glad you understood that we don't rush people. If the guys have been zealous it's because customers generally ask for speed. We do not put any pressure on ourselves to turn the tables. We are glad that you have been well with us. It is what they want: to make our customers feel good

They made a special vegetarian antipasti for me and it was one of the best things I’ve eaten in Italy. The pasta was also delicious and the house wine was great. The cherry at the top of the experience was a complementary shot of limoncello at the end of the meal.

I was impressed of the positive reviews that this place has so we went for aperitivi and tagliere. This restaurant was quite empty and we now know why. We were charged for coperto and also the tagliere was quite expensive than average. Some salami was not good and gone off. We told the manager that insisted that in his opinion the salami was fresh. After a while I had stomach cramps and indigestion. Well what to say? Florence is full of nice places, avoid this restaurant is expensive, food is not fresh and the place is quite dirty. Very unpleasant

This place was suggested to us by our hotel. To start, the coccoli – the fried bread with truffle and the prosciutto -- was excellent. But then that dish was cleared and we waited for 25 minutes until we finally asked about the delay and my pasta came out, but not my partner’s pizza. We were told that it would arrive in another 5 minutes due to a mistake by the kitchen. The pasta – a cacio e pepe – was swimming in a large puddle of cheese but had little pepper on it. I asked for some fresh pepper to be brought and they came back with little packets. I was surprised that any place in Italy that makes their own pasta wouldn't have a pepper mill! The pizza finally arrived missing the key ingredient of prosciutto. I first had to argue with the waiter and show him the menu which said that the tricolore should, in fact, contain prosciutto. Then things got even worse – a colleague of the waiter then also wanted to come out and argue that we were served the correct pizza after the first waiter said it was wrong. More arguments ensued and then a third female colleague ALSO wanted to come out and argue. NOONE wanted to correct the mistake. At that point we had lost our appetite and decided to pay and go. The only apology we received was to be told that things were busy because it was Saturday. The pizzas did look good – I think if we had gotten the correct order we would have enjoyed our meal. We were perhaps just unlucky but the evening was made worse arguing with 3 members of staff.

The pasta was genuinely great, but I've never felt so unwelcome at a restaurant in Firenze.
Staff literally ignoring you and looking straight through you as if they really don't want to be talking to you. Even when paying the bill it was a lot of effort.
Maybe it was my broken Italian that upset the staff but at the end of the day, even with a reservation, there was one member of staff who seemed especially rude and she made me feel the most unwelcome.
One male member of staff was lovely and another one was almost as rude as the lady, almost looked angry when paying for my meal?
I've been to a load of restaurants here and everyone has been so lovely, this is the first bad experience in terms of service I've had in Florence 😔

Went here by chance because we were hungry and the Gusto restaurant that was recommended to us around the corner was rammed with people. I didn't want to wait standing in the sun so we decided to try this restaurant. I'm so glad we did!
We tried 3 types of pizza and the ravioli over 2 visits and it was truly standout in terms of service and cuisine. A lot of restaurants in Florence don't make any effort for their non-meat dishes because they aren't traditional but these dishes were really wonderful, flavourful and thoughtful in their execution.

The food at Tamerò was incredible. We had pasta for dinner and went back the next day at lunchtime for pizza.
Everything is made fresh at the restaurant, making the food excellent! There are multiple vegetarian options (pizza/pasta dishes) and the staff are very helpful.
If you’re looking for perfect food and great drinks, definitely put Tamerò on your travel itinerary.

I went here twice on my visit, the experience was lovely, with a wide range of cocktails available and lovely fresh homemade pasta. I also had a standard margarita pizza that was how I’d expect it to be, along with Cacio e pepe, this was made from lovely thick spaghetti and came with a parmesan crisp on top (I highly recommend).
After looking at the reviews on here, I can see a lot of complaints around the service, I didn’t experience these issues and if you have basic communication skills the staff are friendly and quick to come over. I had a very friendly female waitress (didn’t catch her name), however she was very smiley and welcoming. When I went for lunch, I was served quickly and then simply got up and paid at the bar before leaving.
Generally speaking, go here for good food and drinks outside the busy part of the city.

Our hotel (Dedo Boutique Hotel) recommended this gem. Tamero was very accommodating from the start. They were able to seat us inside and we were thrilled. The menu is mouth watering and our server helped us with the selection process and she was spot on! The Pappardelle Di Grano Saraceno Con Ragù Su Salsa was superb. We also had the Salsa Di Pomodoro San Marzo Pizza-outstanding. We topped off our meal with the Tiramisu Tradizionale! The restaurant was so accommodating that they provided us with a complimentary shot of Limoncello! Would highly recommend this restaurant to future travelers! Molte Bene!

Came here to escape the more touristic and chaotic centre of Florence- the restaurant is in a quieter neighbourhood that still has a 'vibe' and we ate outside in a lovely piazza. The cocktails were good as was our starter (coccoli stracchino e prosciutto crudo toscano ). Really good house red, but the true winner here is the fresh pasta. I had a seasonal Taglioni with butter and truffle which was absolutely amazing and my partner had a cacio e pepe which was also very good. Only reason I don't give 5 stars is because the staff were quite curt and it felt like we were being rushed off our table.

Menu was very non traditional. They brought the wrong entree and then told us what was on the menu u was not actually available because they printed the menu wrong. We waited almost 15 minutes for a glass of wine. Pizza was good.

My wife, Lynn, and I decided to try this interesting restaurant on the southern side of the river after seeing a YouTube video on the best pasta in Florence. Tamero didn’t disappoint. We started with the coccoli stracchino e prosciutto crudo toscano (fried dough served with stracchino cheese and prosciutto) while we sipped a glass of house wine. Lynn then enjoyed the pappardelle impastate al caffe (coffee pappardelle with pumpkin sauce) and I chose the tortelli bianchi e neri (black and white tortelli with spicy octopus sauce). The pastas were excellent as was the professional and friendly service. We will certainly be back. I definitely recommend eating at Tamero Pasta Bar Restaurant when in Florence. It’s worth the walk to the other side of the river. Enjoy.

Recommended by locals, good vibe service and food. You can tell that the pasta is made daily and they were happy to cook it FRESH with a different source from that show on the menu. Ravioli is very good. In any of the city I would give this place five stars, but we have had slightly better for cheaper in Florence because the standard is incredibly high.

We thoroughly enjoyed dining outside watching the locals frolicking in park. The food was outstanding and being able to choose from an array of items on the menu. The beer and whine choices were just what we needed, the first and second courses were mouthwatering, and the tiramisu was delicious! Being able to meet our Italian family friends in their neighborhood was an added bonus!
