When you visit Florence you must try the Lampredotto which is tripe stewed in vegetables then cut into small pieces and put in bun. It is a local specialty, tastes good and it is very filling

When my partner and I told her mother what we had eaten, a cow stomach sandwich, she replied "No, really?" You see, my partner can be a fussy sort. Me, if you told me you found a way to make sawdust taste good I'd try...More

Great for what it is. Interesting and tasty street food of one of the local specialties. Was actually quite tasty and salty which was all nicely washed down with the local wine.

Stopped by and wasn’t disappointed! Lots of people gathered in the alley waiting for this food! We knew it had to be good! Tripe served with a good seasoning. Lambrusco wine was complimenting the food well!

I stumbled upon this little food truck on the streets of Florence and tried their lampredotto and it was awesome. It was served in a tomato based sauce with a side of bread for dipping. So simple yet so delicious. The tripe was soft and...More

I've tried all of the lampredotto stands I could find in Florence, and to be honest they're all pretty good. This one may be my favorite as it was the first one I tried, and I go back there often. There are several options at...More

I might have expected more based on my research. The day we went, I thought the sandwiches were just okay. The "special" green sauce was not very favorable to me. We like tripe so it isn't that this was the first time we ate tripe....More

Santa Croce
Stop and stare at the beauty and symmetry of the
Basilica of Santa Croce any time day or night.
Unraveling around it are a number of architectural and
artistic masterpieces, from the Synagogue to the
Central National Library. As a hub for young people,
the area gets busy with people who want to have fun: a
continuous flow of tourists and locals become animated
by songs and dances.
