Friendly, not pushy waiter. Simple food at not too exorbitant prices. Loved the mist fan. Cooled everyone nicely.

We founded this ristorante al paso a cold afternoon in Florencia. Everything was perfect, the service, the conversation and the food. I asked for Minestrone (very special Italian soup) and my husband could try different types of deli and he chosed special porchetta with cheese, the owner made us feel so good that we really thought that was the Felicity... A late lunch saw us arrive at Pane e Olio. Considering the location where most restaurants are over 15 euros, the mere 7-8 euro sandwiches and equally cheap beverages are a delight. The pork panini with balsamic vinegar and cheese is simply awesome. The slab of pork with crackle is great and the house wine or beer are both equally... More

We chanced upon this little gem while meandering through the streets of Florence. The only thing we had was a cup of coffee and the pork sandwich. It was absolutely divine! With something so tasty, I'm sure that the rest of the food is also yummy. Plan on going back for dinner tonight for sure.

We did not expect to be popular at this restaurant, as we only wanted a very quick snack to keep us going en route, and asked for a bruschetta to share and one bottle of water. But the delightful owner / staff was welcoming and charming and treated us as valued customers! The bruschetta was delicious and everything we saw... More

Good lasagna and very helpful waitstaff. It was fun to sit and eat and watch the workers and the locals interact. It is very clean. Be sure to look at the marble lining the walls.

If you want authentic and genuine food at a reasonable price, try this restaurant. Actually it is much more like a salumeria, a bit further down the ponte vecchio. Though the pasta sauce was like frozen and then reheated in a microwave, it was served in a simple way and tasted home-made. Surely to be served in a friendly way... More

This little piece of Firenze made our trip from a gastronomy point of view. Nestled in an amongst some rather high end, expensive restaurants, this authentic Italian restaurant with its no more than 6 tables will give you a real piece of Italian culture. The menu is simple, with variety, but what really makes it so special is the fresh... More

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
