I had two different pastries, both excellent and rather cheap. Excellent coffee, service and juice too

After ordering and paying for espressos and pastries at the bar (there was no waiter service), we were told that it’s an extra 10 euros to sit outside. Not a single soul was seated outside... Panini was over salted and the pastries were dry.

Maybe it was the company, maybe it was just being in Florence again, because on drizzly Sunday afternoon in December, we stopped here for late afternoon cappuccini (yes, it's permitted!) and pasticcini. We didn't need table service, because it was just for a short break,...More

Do not eat here! They charge you double for sitting outside, which they instruct you to do, even if you order at the counter. They don't tell you they charge more, super shady. Then when you question it, they argue with you. Very arrogant.

We had a great Coffee Latte here, as well as small tiramisu (twice) and two pies (twice) with fruit. We also bought balsamic dressing home. Everything was just delicious and the coffee was the best I had in Florence (Julius Melni grains).

Bought one pasty today, to take away, and was charged six euros. Very, very expensive compared to other places we have tried. When questioning the cost we were told the price of the pasty was calculated on weight despite the manager charging us without checking...More

San Marco
The pleasant atmosphere of this residential area, a
stone’s throw away from the Duomo of Florence,
surprises everyone. A continuous flow of backpacking
students provides the tranquil surroundings for the
elderly residents who sit in Piazza San Marco to read
the daily newspaper. Home to several universities,
including the Academy of Fine Arts, San Marco is one
of the most vibrant cultural centers in the city. A
