Location and contact

This is a great new restaurant - it opened ten days ago and we have eaten there three times. It has authehtic Tuscan food and is very resonable with a lunch menu at 12 euros. All this in a fabuously restored 'loggia' of an old palazzio and three minutes walk from the Pontevecchio.

A lovely dining experience. The Tuscan pecolo was delicious. Fabrizio the owner is a charming gentlemen. Ambience is great.

We went to osteria toscanella as part of the "dinner and opera" tour. My advice? Skip the dinner (or go to a restaurant you like) and go straight to the opera. Service was fine and everybody was very nice (the inside of the restaurant was...More

they've left the original floor in one section under glass. this place has amazing food amazing service and an authentic interior. If they have branzino, fileted tableside, get it even though it's pricey, it's wonderful. So fresh. Don't miss this place, it's a bit off...More

It was so easy to reserve a table. My husband and I had the best time for our anniversary. We were greeted by a lovely server. I wish I had gotten her name. We shared with her that we were celebrating our 35th Anniversary and...More

Excellent homemade pasta and typical dishes. House wine good and global good value for the quality presented. A small space for children was also very appreciated by the younger ones.

I'm almost hesitant to review this restaurant because its such a hidden gem I'm afraid it will get all touristy and it will change this place. Service may not be the best in town but it is done professionally and politely. The food is the...More

We wandered into this restaurant near our Air Bnb and just about a 5 minute walk from the Pitti Palace and were pleasantly surprised! The old architecture was cool to look at from exposed columns to the exposed old-world drainage system covered by plexiglass on...More

The starter dish was not bad (mixed meats and cheese with their own jellys). The meat of the main dish was Wel prepared, but the roasted potatoes were not really warm and the mixed salad could have been presented better. Service was mediocre. Given the...More

This was the best pasta I ate while in Italy. Simple dish prepared perfectly. Sorry I didn’t find it until our last night in Florence.

I got it wrong again. The name of the dish is PEPOSO. There is not dish called pecolo. Finally I think I got it right. Just ask for Tuscan Beef Stew and you'll get it. Sorry for the confusion.
