Their brioches and other baked items are fantastic. Best to get there soon after they open at 7am when they're fresh out of the oven. Sit outside and watch all the local residents pass through.

The pasticceria is divided into two separate parts. We visited the expensive part: the restaurant. Service was great, food was excellent, we ate some fish and some pasta, drank a bit of light vine. They have served us some dish made of egg-plant, cheese and some seafood without us ordering, and it was very good to taste, but contributed a... More

Amazing variety. Fresh squeezed juice. This is one of the finest bakeries I have ever been to. It was difficult to narrow down choices. We went twice while in Florence. Fresh squeezed OJ was the best. I have to make it back some day!

When my boss, one of the richeast people in Florence, told me that the best fish in Florence was in Soffiano, not the greatest area in town, I had to trast him. To get to the restaurant you have to go through the patisserie. Then you enter in an elegant room filled with livery clad waiters, Everything you ask there... More

I believe I first read about this place in the New York Times article about Florence. We hesitated somewhat about the bus ride it involved to reach outside of the normal tourist areas, especially since we were not quite acclimated to the city and its public transit at the time. But we ended up going for lunch and absolutely adored... More

I typically buy our birthday cakes from Giorgio. Freshly made Millefoglie. Great place for a pastry and cappuccino in the morning. Aperitivo is also worth while and fish restaurant is excellent.

One of the most famuos cake shop in Florence in now also a very good restaurant, with excellent wines also. the restaurant is a small room with no more than 6 tables with 15/20 places at all. Fish is super and deserts are amazing. The prices are hights.

The other reviewers are absolutely correct. These pastries were exceptional, even by Italian standards where everybody starts their day with a pastry and caffe or cappuchino. It is in the middle of a residential neighborhood where I happened to be giving a workshop and my hosts took me there. Well worth the effort to find it!

Happy hour with cocktails and canapés is not traditional in Italy- a little bit in the North but not in Tuscany. In the last years things started to change and when I went to the Pasticceria Giorgio two Saturday's ago, I had one of the best experiences. The daiquiri was excellent (the barman made it on the spot for us)... More

Really authentic place with great pastries. No or little english spoken and we enjoyed it. One is just able to blend in (as much as it is possible) and watch the locals fo their thing. The pastries we get in NYC, that claim to be Italian, do mot compare. Another planet. Cheap for breakfast and well worth the trip. Must... More
