We were looking for a trattoria in the touristic area… but one that is not touristic with the food and service, if you know what I mean. And we found it! Bistecca alla Florentina was amazing and the Tiramisu is one of the best we had.
Trattoria Alfredo offers amazing tasting food and has a great service from a staff that includes the owner of the place for the past 20 years.
We would definitely recommend!

We had a wide selection of very reasonably priced food at Trattoria Alfredo and were not disappointed; everything was delicious! Pasta (wild boar pici, bolognese, carbonara)was cooked perfectly and very flavourful. Filet had a great cook on it and was tender. Osso Buco was mouth watering and “best ever had” and tiramisu was excellent. Service was wonderful. Our expectations from reviews were exceeded!

This trattoria is close to the Palazzo Vecchio and very easy to find. It’s kind of unassuming on the outside but the food and service were amazing. The downstairs inside was full so we were escorted upstairs (which also gradually filled up during the lunchtime period) to a large, air-conditioned room completely decorated with wine bottles, ornaments and even Christmas decorations (in August). Very kitschy but also fun. The service was excellent and the food and wines were delicious. We had the ossobuco, a salad and a melted cheese with truffles dish. All excellent and it wasn’t as expensive as we had expected. This hidden gem is well worth seeking out.

After suffering very rude attention in Spain and Paris, we have found this restaurant with a warm, friendly atmosphere and an exceptional menu, the prices honor its quality, all very delicious and familiar.
Recommended for any occasion (family, friends? Romantic), it is a must in Florence❤️
The strawberry cake is a luxury dessert, a real hit!

Found this on trip advisor. For two vegetarians of a party of four we were a little worried that the menu was heavily meat based. However, we needn’t have worried. We all had the bruschetta- wow. 3 big thick pieces of bread heaped with the mast amazing tasting tomato. Just fab. We both were very excited to find the Gorgonzola ravioli was filled with spinach. It was beautiful. The sauce was amazing and I was almost licking the plate. Friends had the chicken and fries and carbonara and both loved it. We shared a tiramisu ( must have) and with wine and coffee, came in around €30 each.
Very impressed and would return. .

After a long, beautiful day in the nearby Uffizi, we were hungry and came to Alfredo's in the evening and were kindly invited in (according to Polt's motto: "they speak German"). The menu offered a choice of a Vino Blanco and a Bierra Moretti as well as an Agua Frizzante (which was served in a bottle with the house logo on it - speaks volumes for sparkling tap water) as well as an Insalata Mista, three bruschetta loaves and two Lasagne "alla Mamma". The starters and drinks arrived promptly, but the bottle of oil was taken from the table without question while we were still enjoying the starters and placed on the table next to us (unbelievable and NEVER happened before!) The pepper mill was also brought to us grumpily and on request beforehand, so that the impression was created that vinegar, oil and pepper were being guarded "like the apple of one's eye" from being enjoyed by the guests - who are, after all, also paying for them! The lasagne "alla allegedly Mamma" dripping with fat, prepared without any herbs and served rather carelessly on small plates, squashed, rounded off our impression of a very touristy evening at Alfredo's! The walk to the toilet past the Buffet de Dolci confirmed our decision not to have chosen any of the "desserts" presented on a pictorial, laminated menu, because they mostly looked like they had been left over from the day before, especially our favorite tiramisu.
Overall, a somewhat disappointing and, for the "quality", somewhat overpriced end to an otherwise very nice day in Firenze!
For us: We'll gladly go somewhere else next time!

We came here for lunch after a morning in the Palazzo Vecchio. It's incredibly convenient for the attractions in the centre of Florence, literally a stone's throw from the Exit for the Uffizi. Just turn left at the people eating sandwiches on the street and you can have a lovely lunch, be treated like family and leave, satisfied and happy.
You may have to wait a few minutes for your food, but that's because it all seems to be freshly cooked, to order. Just relax, and enjoy the experience.
A real gem.

Absolutely wonderful experience start to finish! After leaving the Uffizi we were starving and there were so many restaurants to visit but we thankfully held out for Trattoria Alfredo which was only a few steps away. We were immediately warmly greeted and sat and it felt like we had grown up coming to this place, it was truly that great! The food…. Oh my goodness they know how to back up their great service! The noodles and meat sauce were the best meal we’ve had in Tuscany and all of Italy thus far! Homemade noodles that the owner said were “simple” to make but you could taste the love and the pride!! Dessert was phenomenal and I really can’t say enough good things. Worth a visit for sure!

Typical Florentine restaurant in the historic center near the Uffizi galleries
Friendly and knowledgeable staff but above all the food is good, prices are average...but quality food
My husband and I had a nice platter of mixed cured meats with a delicious cave pecorino
Recommended by the kind and friendly waiter, a nice Florentine osso bucco with roasted potatoes....exquisite and inexpensive...you didn't need a knife
Finally a nice homemade tiramisu...made like grandma's
They also offered us a delicious house bitters
In short, try it to believe it

Excellent trattoria in the historic center....
The food is really good and reasonably priced and the staff is knowledgeable and kind....I ate some amazing tagliatelle with Cinta Senese sauce...
At the end the staff also offers the amaro of their own production
Also excellent fresh and very digestive
In short, what can I say? Try it and believe it

What a find! This place is everything a great promise of wonderful Italian food in Florence you could hope for. On top of it. The service is just wonderful, we were made feel so welcome.
After a wonderful zucchini and truffle salad and home made lasagna to start with, we had chicken Alfredo and the bistecca alla fiorentina (500g for one).
It was to die for, and on my bucket list of things to try. Trattoria Alfredo is one of the very few places where you can have it for 'one'.
We were too full for desert, but it came in complementary anyway. The tiramisu was amazing, plus the shots of local liqueurs. After not so great experience elsewhere a night before, I'm now full of enthusiasm and optimism for the rest of our gastronomic adventures in Florence, and we'll be definitely returning to trattoria Alfredo.

Was so disappointing in just the food. The waiters were nice and friendly enough but the food was just so bland and basic. We could make better at home. The truffle pasta we ordered truly tasted like just noodles and butter. The sauce for the lasagna and eggplant parm just didn’t have any flavor. Not sure why the ratings were so high here.

Truly don’t understand how this restaurant is rated high. Food and service was unbelievably awful. Steaks were not seasoned, also not great cuts of meat from the start. Pasta had absolutely no flavor, risotto was bland and obviously old and rewarmed when ordered. This was a sad waste of our last night in Florence. Service could not care less we were in their restaurant, even though they were empty (which should have been our first red flag given we went at 8pm when every other restaurant is packed). Do not go here, there’s so many better options

On our final night in Florence we chose to dine at Trattoria Alfredo, and we are thrilled we did. Alfredo himself welcomed us warmly and helped us translate the menu. The Tuscan wine choices were varied and very reasonably priced. The pastas all had perfect texture, and the meats (including the fish special) were all tender and flavorful. We spread a chocolate dessert, and Alfredo treated us to a round of limoncello. This was a great way to wrap up our time in Florence.

SIMPLY AMAZING!! When i was living in Florence i would make it a point to eat at Alfredo’s at least twice a week. The food is always delicious!! The staff are always happy and helpful. The setting is very charming and the prices are a great value! Alfredo was always there to greet me and show me to my table. Simply an all around excellent dining experience. Everything on the menu was cooked and prepared to perfection! I cannot wait to go back!!
