Tucked away in a street just off the Ponte Vecchio, this place makes for a great lunch break before a shopping binge in the side streets. All the pizzas we tried were excellent - fresh and loaded with veggies. The vino santo was decent too.

I do love this place, so much so that even if I work in the Piazza della Repubblica area I go here quite often for my lunch break. Wide range of choices, and their covaccino is among the best things I have tried since I live in Tuscany.

This was very close to where we were staying. We all enjoyed the food and the service. The pizza was delicious. It's a small place so it can get really crowded when ordering but they are very quick with the orders!

We had just left Boboli Gardens and were very hungry. We arrived here, Stefano was friendly and let us try the bread first. I had a prosciutto ham, truffle, mozzarella and sundried tomato toasted sandwich and a Peroni, and it was amazing. Highly recommended!!

Staff and Stefano took the time to explain what the ingredients were and offered tastes even when under the pump. Place is small and don't expect to find a seat unless you time it perfectly. Definitely recommend for lunch. Very reasonably priced for what you're getting and don't be afraid to come back for seconds!

Don't miss this! Found this place on trip advisor, and it was around the corner from our accommodation! Such a cute spot, and upon entering the server gave us a sample of their focaccia = incredible! Bought a little piece for the road, and a pizza slice each which fuelled us nicely for the whole afternoon of sight seeing! Prosciutto... More

Terrific inexpensive pizza and classic sandwiches, wine and beer. Big variety of pizza and focaccia, and florentine salami sandwiches. Pizza and a beer for €5. We loved it.

Stefano is like a very creative chef! He makes his own fresh bread every morning and than helps you to find the tastiest fillings for your perfect sandwich. Today I had the one with Porchetta, roasted Tuscan pork, AMAZING! I recommend Porchetta but also the sandwich with Sbriciolona, a super tasty type of salami and the one with Salciccia e... More

We ate two big sandwiches for only 10 Eur, which is very cheap in Florence. The sandwiches were freshly made although it was 5 o'clock in the afternoon. It was very good.

We have found that the best quality food at the most reasonable cost is on the opposite side of the Arno river from the Duomo. We could tell before we even got to this pizza place it must be good because there was a line, but it moved quickly and we were not disappointed. Very good pizza and crust too.

Staying in Pitti

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
