This restaurant is in the groundfloor of the hotel, so it is very close. The food is good, the service is friendly, the portions are small. That's all.

The service was the worst we had during our travels in Italy. We were waiting for 30 minutes for the pasta which came without Parmesan cheese. The waiter placed the plates on our table and walked away to smoke a cigarette. Shortly before we were done another waiter brought the cheese. Since the portion of the ravioli was very small... We very much enjoyed lunch at this restaurant. The wait staff is friendly and accommodating. We had grilled vegetables and mozzarella, which was very good. The pasta with pesto and ravioli were also excellent. Highly recommended!

I love to sat their outside seats and had a set of breakfast. Its breakfast set contains two sweet bread, one salty bread, a glass of orange juice and a cup of coffee. Not only the serving is rich, but also the taste is great.

I went here for a cappuccino and chocolate croissant in the morning, the food was great and the service was very nice! They spoke very good English and also loved when I tried my Italian (only like "grazie" or "per favore"). Even though it was near the touristy areas, it seemed like a local place since some customers came in... More

Having sampled their "Famous Scacciata" a la Fiorentina at a private dinner, I went to the Tonsinghi store behind the Dome. I could not believe that such a "well-known" joint sells such substandard "Sweets" or Sandwiches. The Scacciata was Super-dry, sugary, boring, Kindergarten pastry, product value for a 30x25 cake below € 1, sale price €18 and if you want... More

We didn't visit the restaurant, but popped into the shop for a sandwich and coffee. Very nice baguettes for €3.80 and nice coffees for €1.50. We'd expect to pay twice as much for coffee in a prime location such as this. You could sit inside or outside to eat them at no extra charge. We liked it so much that... More

This place has alot of history, an old fashion pasticceria. Loved the tea room. Great pasteries and Italian Ice cream.

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
