We were taken to this place on an excellent food tour (Taste of Florence) and have returned every time we're in Italy. It is an excellent place for souvenirs, and to buy wine from all over Italy, and spirits from all over the world. And vinegar, and sweets. A one-stop shop. There is a few wine-tasting areas inside, and the... More

We love wine, I teach private wine appreciation classes back in the US. We have over 1600 bottles of wine in our wine cellar at home. We were looking for a place to escape the rain and we found this lovely Wine bar and store. We've been in Italy for several weeks tasting and trying great wine. PROS: The store... More

We stopped here for a glass of wine and wasn't disappointed. We had been here before 8 years ago, when we first experienced grappa. While I do not recommend the grappa, I do recommend this place for quality wine and high end spirits. They even provided a nice assortment of finger food to go with the wine.

We stopped by Enoteca Alessi for a quick glass of wine and it ended up being one of our favorite spots in Florence. Their selection of wine is wonderful, we had a great bottle of Brunello. The deli's cheese selection is just as wonderful as their wine. They served us an amazing burrata plate, pecorino plate and bruschetta. The atmosphere... More

If you are visiting Florence, then this is the place to come. Great wine with a huge wine cellar to choose from. They also serve food and it is delicious! So coming here is a must for anybody looking for great food and wine at a reasonable price.

Wonderful atmosphere. Excellent wine and food. Antonella makes the difference with nice stories on wines and bottles. If she is around ask her to try the special UGO's GIN. Enjoy!

This is an enoteca/wine bar with a good selection of food and a wide selection of quality wines. The owner, Antonella, is a happy to discuss food and wine and she offers a very friendly welcome. The rear of the establishment is given over specifically for the tasting and sale of wines. N.B. Closes at 7pm.

My mother, sister, and I stopped in for a late lunch and wine tasting. The wine was delicious, and the platters of cold meat and cheeses were too. Very friendly service.

This wine bar is beautiful. We were warmly welcomed, poured a few glasses of wine and a beautiful snack plate to accompany. Very glad we stumbled across this place. Oh, and most incredible range in the cellar

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
