We tried several different gelato-places in Florence and this was our favorite. We came back here several times. It is a modest place, relatively easy to miss and you can't see the gelato like in many other places. But it is definitely worth trying it! Tastes so good and much cheaper than the places closer by Duomo. The staff were... More

Wonderful.and good value gellato. I had ginger/mint/pineapple which was tasty if unusual. There are regular flavours too. Obviously made on site. Also sells crepes both sweet and savoury. Well worth a visit.

There are many rip off places for ice cream in Florence. This is NOT one of them. Pleasant service, great range of flavours, pleasant service.

Tried new flavours : turmeric and figs/ mint, pineapple and ginger... It tastes amazing. If you can't choose from the various flavours, the lucky wheel is here to help.

There are many gelatarias in Florence but if you can get to this gem just a few minutes walk from the Ponte Vecchio, you'll find this gem of a gelataria. For starters they have some great flavours including pistachio and their salted caramel. But the biggest surprise is they are simply the best value gelataria we've found in Florence!

Tiniest shop with the most delicious gelato. Husband had 'cioccolatino' which he swore by! I couldn't go past the ricotta and fig - not to be missed!! Cantina is cash only.

We tried some unique flavours of gelato (Nutella and hazelnut as well as Buontalenti- Italian cream and vanilla ). It was worth the short walk over to the south side of the Ponte Vecchio to avoid the overpriced and crowded gelaterias near the tourist hubs. A great place to cool off on a very hot day.

We were taken here with my husband's Italian cousin who lived in the area. It was excellent. We were there in June and they had a spinning wheel for customers that can't decide what flavor to get. Delicious, not far from Ponte Vecchio on the less crowded side of the bridge (opposite from Uffizi)

Best Gelato we had in Italy. Home made, very clean and fresh. Lot's of flavors to pick from. Tasted real, no artificial flavors. Reasonably price and great location to walk to from our hotel.

Staying in Pitti

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
