From the warm welcoming, to the staff professionalism down to the food. We "bumped" into this Osteria by chance, and what a stroke of luck! From Antipasti, to main course and, of course, the almost endless wine choice. Not to mention the staff. We have...been twice in 2 days. First dinner Maltagliati with chestnut flour, pumpkin cream, bacon and Tuscan pecorino cheese. The following evening we had handmade fusilloni with black cabbage cream and sausage, simply amazingMore

The tomato bruschetta tasted like the tomatoes were just picked from the garden. The pasta dish with meat sauce had a very distinct flavor that was rich and very satisfying. The whole grilled chicken was the STAR of the show. It was grilled to perfection...and was juicy, moist and out of this world. The staff were extremely friendly and we even got a private lesson from the chef showing us his preparation and grilling of the chicken. When we return in April, we will dine there again. In a country known for its pasta, dining at Antica Casa Torre in Florence was a special experience. Every one of 4 main dishes for our family had an extraordinary taste. The atmosphere and quality of serve was also outstanding.

Sadly, we missed this time. First miss. Ravioli al Tartufo was tasteless. Not even slightest bit of truffle. Or handmade feel. Like taken out from freezer in the department store. Second miss. Grilled pork ribs were even worse. Initially served cold (!), after reheating were...not eatable anyway. Luckily, our claim was accepted and we were not charged for those ribs. Double miss in Florence.More

Went today for antipasti and wasn’t disappointed. Had bruschetta and gran tagliere di affettati e formaggi toscani. Service was wonderful and their homemade sauces with the meat and cheese were delicious. Highly recommend.

I don't often leave a review, but after eating here, I had to. If you're a foodie, this place is a must. An unbelievable pasta dinner had here tonight. We've had pasta all over Italy and can say this was one of, if not the...best pasta dishes we've had. The two pasta dishes were so good, my husband and I looked at each other contemplating if we should order another serving. If we had another night here, we would've booked again, could not recommend the pasta dishes enough. We even heard another table compliment the chef saying best pasta ever. Service was warm and friendly, feeling very lucky to have had this experience! Grazie!!!!More

Very tasty. The service is excellent. The traditional Florence food ideally suits the area, the cozy yard next to the old buildings.

Staff and food are simply excellent. Whenever we visit Florence, which is about yearly, we will go to the Osteria. This place never disappoints and we have tasted most of the dishes on the menu. Price/quality wise this is so good!

Went for high reviews and wanting seafood + pasta. Very catering to non-Italians. Don’t think much was authentic. Good but not authentic and mediocre. Prices decent. Service was good. Again, it was good, but not true Italian and just what tourists think Italian cuisine was...supposed to be. Could get the same back at an Italian restaurant in the statesMore

Beautiful dinner! Great & friendly service, good food, nice atmosphere. We enjoyed eating outside in the cute piazza. Great food for an affordable price. Me and my husband split the spicy pici pasta and the fioletto di chianina, both were fabulous. And for dessert the...tiramisu and limencello! And a half bottle of the Chianti! Multo bene!!More

Apart from the fact they have no idea how to cook beef and “medium rare” means nothing to them, the rest of the food was tasty. Restaurant is very small and staff was inexperienced. A good restaurant, but nothing exceptional.

Incredible. Pure and simple Italian food. Excellent service and a great selection of wine. Also, it’s not at all like it’s neighbours, it gives you space on the street and in the restaurant. No cramming tables together. Book here as it will get busy!

Slow service (like agonising!!), pasta over cooked, carbonara swimming in oil and the sauce had curdled so cheese getting stuck and egg scrambled, tortellini mugellani was so stodgy - my Labrador husband couldn’t finish it. Cherry on top was the panzanelle was obliterated to a...mulch - texture of a cous cous salad. Quite extraordinary. Fine if passing but wouldn’t recommend.More
