For those not speaking Italian, here's a great place because they cater to foreigners, but without any condescension--one is genuinely welcomed & made to feel at home. I wanted a simple lunch & chose a (delicious) house-made pasta with zucchini + flowers sauce..it was the epitome of what uncomplicated Tuscan fare is all about...& at 9 Euros good value for... More

Had an excellent meal here after an afternoon across the river in the Uffizi Gallery. Shared bruschetta, black truffle linguine and the sliced beef salad. Loved the food and the friendly staff.

Good cod in tomato sauce, beef stew and delicious torte della nonna. Rather dubious wall plaque about women, washing machines and 90 degrees! But hey we went there to eat and not to have a feminist discussion!

We spend a month in Florence almost every year, and this is our favorite place to eat. Giusi makes the best papa di pomodoro (a thick tomato-based soup) and best peposo (a traditional Tuscan beef stew) in Florence--hands down. The pasta dishes are beautifully prepared. We especially like the pici, and all the homemade desserts are excellent--especially the flourless chocolate... More

We had a great Tiramisu, and a great time. Everyone very kind, the food was very well, we ate gnocchis with ragú sauce. We saw a couple ordering a great starter with bruschettas, salami, cheese and prosciutto! And melón with a very nice presentation.

We had started looking for another restaurant but they didn't service spagetti and our daughter very much wanted spaghetti. We saw the menu here and commented we would love to stay and eat but no spaghetti. The owner quickly assured us they would gladly make spaghetti and welcomed us to what became our dinner table for the duration of our... More

We were looking for a restaurant close to our B&B in the Oltararno district in Florence. As this is outside the main tourist area we were happy to find a typical local restaurant. The food and service was very good. We were able to share appetizers, enjoy a glass of wine and a good meal at a reasonable price. It... More

We keep coming back, at least 3 or 4 times in two weeks. I know I should try more places, but I can't help myself. The decor is lovely, it's clean, and the people are so friendly. I loved the gnocchi with eggplant and parmesan, and my daughter always orders something without cheese. They make special dinners for her, which... More

We decided to give it a go.We booked the restaurant on line and they give you 20 per cents discount on the final bill. The service was friendly and the food was lovely.... More

Authentic Italian trattoria with mostly locals, yet very friendly and helpful with tourists. I had pasta with truffles - divine! Our simple house salad was also wonderful. Nice bottle of house Chianti and overall very affordable meal. Highly recommend and I would definitely return if I had more time in Florence.
