If you go there because of all the raving reviews about their Florentine T-bone steak, you may be a bit disappointed. We went there tonight on Sept 24 and tried it. Yes, it was big & impressive (1.2 kg, approx 2 inches thick.) Yes, it was served seared on the outside and rare inside, which is the right thing to... More

My wife and I had dinner here recently. The restaurant is off the beaten path, a good walk from the Il Dumo area, but worth the walk. We arrived a few minutes late and were seated immediately. The waiter offered water and wanted to know our dinner choices within minutes of being seated. We said we'd like to start with... More

Visited on 9/12 and had a fantastic meal. Staff was friendly and helpful with choices on wine and sides. T-bone steak was a perfect meal for 2. The owner was gracious and funny. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting! Thank you Bobo!

We went this restaurant as we had seen it on the Rick Steeves travel show. We are glad we went. Had the big antipasto plate, almost a meal in itself. We also had the bruschetta. ( recommended) Service was prompt without feeling rushed. the walls were written on by former diners. A fun touch. When we left to pay the... More

The sense of humor of the owner can instantly be seen from the signs stuck on the entrance saying "no well done steaks", "cappuccino & steak = €10.000,00". This place offers authentic Florentine cuisine with the speciality T-Bone steak which was cooked to perfection. The loud owner and staff singing along with the music and joking with guests made our... More

Tried to get into restraint on Saturday 10/9 but first available table was 10.30pm so decided to book for Monday 12/9/16 and was definitely worth the wait. Decor very simple and nothing to write home about but food was excellent. Not an extensive menu but more than enough to please most and very reasonably priced. If you want steak you'll... More

The food is outstanding-we dined there two nights in a row! We enjoyed the bruschetta, parpadelle with wild boar, pasta with porcini mushrooms, gnocchi with sea fruits, Florentine steak, flan and ricotta cheese cake. The staff was so friendly and the service was great. And Bobo, the owner was very attentive.

If you don't book, be prepared to wait 30-60 minutes for a table - this is a popular dining spot! The staff are fun, outgoing and love to have a sing whilst doing their jobs. Definitely a memorable dining experience. The real star of the menu here is the T-Bone which is cooked rare - you don't get a choice.... More

Food was good, the atmosphere was a bit weird. Waiters are like actors, really loud and a bit crazy, It made me feel a bit uncomfortable, I prefer different types of places.

For all steak lovers, this is the place for you. They advertise a medium rare t-bone steak for two. I went with three girlfriends and we shared two steaks. They were seasoned very well, however the meat was very rare (blue). It was still delicious, but be aware that they will not accept for you to send it back if... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The pleasant atmosphere of this residential area, a stone’s throw away from the Duomo of Florence, surprises everyone. A continuous flow of backpacking students provides the tranquil surroundings for the elderly residents who sit in Piazza San Marco to read the daily newspaper. Home to several universities, including the Academy of Fine Arts, San Marco is one of the most vibrant cultural centers in the city. A bridge connecting the modern cultural activity of Florence to its classic art, represented by the everlasting magnificence of the original David, resonates as a symbol of Florence and of Italy as a whole. Get lost in a Neoclassic world, a journey back in time through historic buildings like Spedale degli Innocenti (Hospital of the Innocents), San Marco church, Basilica della Santissima Annunziata, and natural jewels like the Botanical Gardens.
