Stumbled across this restaurant one day and said we would go that evening for dinner. My wife had the simplest of pasta dishes that was just amazing! I had wild boar pappardelle which was also delicious. The food was so good we returned the next day for lunch and had the same dishes!! Really friendly staff too.

Very felicious bistecca with reasonable price. The price depends on the weight of the steak you order, with 1 kg being minimal. Not too cheap but reasonable price. Service was just okay. However they serve one of the worst bread.

In a sightseeing trip to Florence with smallish children, we had messed up and were far from the restaurant we were aiming for and happened by (fortuitous) chance on Francesco Vini. We had a fantastic lunch in the restaurant- including a couple of glasses of great wine. The service was impeccable and we loved the embience.

We stopped by just to have a drink and continue our sightseeing. We ordered mojito (8€), beer & water. Mojito was served in a small glass (size similar to whiskey glass) so that was unusual. However Mojito was good though not exquisite. When we ordered our drinks another waiter has come just after a few minutes and gave us 40€... More

If ever you want to eat steak, make it the Bistecca Fiorentina! It will most probably be the most succulent piece of meat you will ever taste. Me and my wife were presented with a 1.3 kg piece of wonderful rare steak. The outer edge was seared closed and well seasoned. Every bite was as tender as can be. The... More

A lovely lunch respite after a long morning of sight seeing. While the majority of clientele were tourists, the restaurant is on a quieter street, especially the back street outdoor dining area, which is where we sat. The food was excellent and we had a terrific wine from the San Gimignano area. We started with the antipasto and chicken liver... More

Our group of travellers decided to have lunch here on the recommendation of our travel director. Fairly obvious that we were expected, as a separate large table had been set for us, but that is the way it goes when you travel with a tour company. However, checking out prices at similar restaurants after, we were not over charged. Our... More

Francesco Vini is a nice-looking, rustic restaurant located about half way between the Uffizi Gallery and Piazza di Santa Croce. The menu is classic Tuscan. The food is fresh, beautiful and delicious. Prices are reasonable. Service is attentive, if a bit slow when diner traffic picks up. Not a deal-breaker though. The food made the visit very worthwhile

Stumbled in here when a neighboring restaurant was closed and happy we did. Delicious pizza and salads. Very nice cappucinos, friendly staff.
