A lovely lunch respite after a long morning of sight seeing. While the majority of clientele were tourists, the restaurant is on a quieter street, especially the back street outdoor dining area, which is where we sat. The food was excellent and we had a terrific wine from the San Gimignano area. We started with the antipasto and chicken liver... More

Close to church of Santa Croce small restaurant with attention to detail. Delicious sirloin steak - lemon sorbet and limoncello not to be missed ! Advice on best wines to suit our palate and purse. A treat ! Go on - treat yourself - you won't regret it!

Our group of travellers decided to have lunch here on the recommendation of our travel director. Fairly obvious that we were expected, as a separate large table had been set for us, but that is the way it goes when you travel with a tour company. However, checking out prices at similar restaurants after, we were not over charged. Our... More

Francesco Vini is a nice-looking, rustic restaurant located about half way between the Uffizi Gallery and Piazza di Santa Croce. The menu is classic Tuscan. The food is fresh, beautiful and delicious. Prices are reasonable. Service is attentive, if a bit slow when diner traffic picks up. Not a deal-breaker though. The food made the visit very worthwhile

Stumbled in here when a neighboring restaurant was closed and happy we did. Delicious pizza and salads. Very nice cappucinos, friendly staff.

Terrible experience. Arrived at 8pm, had a nice table in the back terrace/seating area (the only good thing about this place), there were about 2 other tables about to order (inside was empty and out the front were all already eating). Waited ages for food, pasta dishes did not arrive till 9pm, when it arrived mine was cold so sent... More

After wandering around looking for a place to eat we looped back around close to Santa Croce piazza. The restaurant was quiet but menu looked interesting and waiter was friendly. What followed was a fantastic meal both in terms of service and taste. The restaurant has aging cuts of beef in the window and we decided to share the T-bone... More

After our visit to Santa Croce we stopped here for lunch. The food an service was top notch. I had the seafood pasta and loved it. We were on the lower level inside. A set of large doors was open to the outside to let in the breeze for a great ambience.

I have been to this restaurant twice in the past 2 years. Both times it was an exceptional experience. If you want to go to a place that has some of the best steak florentine, excellent pasta dishes and service that is impeccable...GO here. It's not the cheapest place, but it's worth every penny. Great for that "first good meal"... More

Another nice relaxed evening in Florence. Enjoyed pizza & lasagna, prosecco and Tiramisu, sitting outside in the warm evening.
