Was walking by and hungry, so stopped for a quick bite. Not used to sandwiches with artichokes, so that's what I ordered (ham and artichoke). It was good, and the artichoke relieved some of the dryness of the ham and bread. It was a small, counter service restaurant, and we were the only ones there at the time, so seating... More

We found this last year and went daily! Our return trip in 2016 started with lunch here before heading to Vivoli for gelato Try the pork sandwich - number 1 - on the menu - you will be thinking of your next sandwich after the first few bites!

The perfect place to refill energy...amazing Italian snacks...great chanti wine...and the sisters (daughters of the owner) are so beautiful! We won't forget Francesca a really sweet and smily woman. Try the pork and the cheese with honey and truffles.

Great hole-in-the-wall! Very reasonable prices. Limited seating and can be crowded. But when the locals are willing to put up with crowds and tourist that says all you need to know about the paninis and food. Definitely try the pecorino and honey panini and the bulgar wheat salad if they've made it that day.

I had found this place on tripadvisor and Facebook. Walked past it once looking for it, definitely glad we found it. The ribolitta, bread soup, is worth the visit! Very cute and cozy inside. We also tried a pesto pasta with zucchini. Delicious lunch. So glad we made our way there

Stopped by here for an afternoon lunch. I am a huge fan of the different types of soup you can find in Florence and was delighted to find that they had "Pasta e Fagioli" soup (1 medium sized plate, 6 euro). The atmosphere is friendly and the food is served by the cooks with smiling faces. There is an upstairs... More

The soup was one of the best my girlfriend has ever had and the meatball bowl was delicious. The portions were very generous too. Would highly recommend.

Pleasantly surprised! This is another "hole in the wall" café, with a super sweet staff and delicious food. Not too expensive either, you can get a great panini for 4/5€.

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
