Which is a sign of a good gelato I'm told! Had 2 scoops, should have gone for one as it was generous. Good choice of flavours with specials. Very very good and lovely store.

This gelateria is a little out of the way, but we had been told about buonatalenti ice cream, which is typical of Florence. It is made with honey and orange and lemon zest, so we stopped to try it. It was high quality ice cream, and the staff were very helpful.

This was the best gelato we had during our two travels in Italy. Loved the lemon and Sweet Alabama (chocolate and peanut butter!). Generous portions too.

There are many gelato places near the touristy areas of Florence, but this one has outstanding gelato....at decent prices. im fact, I have eaten gelato throughout France and Italy and his was one of the best. Very fresh tasting and heard they make gelato twcoe a day there. Highly recommending finding this little gem. The staff was also very helpful.... More

The gelato here was excellent and flavorful. The only negative was that there weren't as many flavors as other places, but the gelato was excellent!

Found this place just by walking around without any direction on our first night in Florence. We have been 3 times now, and may go once more before we leave. This is the BEST gelato I have had in Rome or Florence, and I have sampled more then my fair share. It's even better than the one I liked best... More

They say that the best gelati are not displayed behind a glass window, but kept hidden in metallic containers. That's definitely true for this gelateria! Very good ice creams, nothing else to add..

Thank Guillaume G

RivaReno Gelato is synonymous with a constant quest in the world for all natural ingredients for their freshness, purity, intense flavours and overall highest grade qualities. Our gelato contains no hydrogenated fat, preservatives, anti-oxidants and artificial colourings. One of the most important ingredients of gelato is milk. The quality of our milk and the way we process it contains the secret of the intensity and the extraordinary taste of RivaReno Gelato. RivaReno Gelato is made only with alpine milk and cream from the Stura Valley in Piedmont. The Stura Valley is situated on the border between the Cozie and Maretime Alps in the province of Cuneo of the Piedmont region. Each RivaReno store has a lab where every flavour is made by adhering to high standard production processes. Our gelato is made daily in small batches several times a day to ensure ultra-freshness. RivaReno Gelato is not displayed in the typical ice-cream counter where customers can see the products. Our gelato is contained in the traditional Italian cylindrical containers deep inside the counter so as not to be exposed to the air for better conservation. We do not use colorants or preservatives nor do we need to use air to "puff up" our gelato. RivaReno sources the world for the best raw materials. The intenseness of our gelato comes from generous dosage of those materials of the highest qualities. We also use cones that contain less sugar so that our customers actually taste the genuine flavours of our gelato rather than being "distracted" by the sweetness of the cones.

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
