A homey osteria frequented by locals in a residential area away from the madding crowds in the center. Tried the seafood pasta, seafood fritters and "cartoccio", seafood cooked in paper - all amazingly fresh and delicious. Pasta is freshly made too, and the best I've tasted in Italy. The staff were very hospitable and tried their best to translate the... More

Well after spending another 6 weeks in Europe we found our favourite restaurant. Its Semolina LÖsteria. We ate here twice and we were only in town 3 nights. My partner described it as the best meal they have ever eaten. The pasta is beautiful an the entrée platter was way to big but delicious however the rabbit was magnificent. The... More

This was truly the most special restaurant we ate at during our holiday! We met the host by accident outside the restaurant and he talked us inside with his Italian charms. We never regretted it!! Firstly we shared a platter with different fish, with some lovely wine. This was great. Secondly, the main course.. The Florentine steak, My God! We... More

My husband and I went to this restaurant yesterday and we found the food delicious and extremely tasty. It's a typical Tuscan Osteria (my husband and I live in Florence and we know Tuscan cuisine very well) and I can say that this is A-levels. The staff are all very kind and even fun. If you come from another country... More

Very simple but so very tasty. The owner was very friendly, we even took some pictures. One of the best meals we had in Italy so far and quite possibly the cheapest as well.

A little ways outside of the center of Florence but well worth while. Mostly Tuscan food. Worth a visit just to get out of the tourist traps in the center of the city.

What a lovely little restaurant in Florence, we did our research before we visited as this little gem is owned by Lorenzo Amaruso (former player of Glasgow Rangers) and I really wanted to visit and hopefully meet the man himself. Unfortunately he was away on business but his business partner was most helpful and when we told him we were... More
