We managed two visits to this wonderful family run trattoria during our four day visit. The food was delicious and extremely good value. The staff friendly and helpful for those not speaking/reading Italian. Very much a locals place away from the crowds of the centre.

Crossed the river to get into a local neighborhood. This place has been in business for 50+ years and has a big local following. Tables seat 6-8 so you will most likely be sitting with other people and that is the beauty of this place....More

Simple, honest Italian food from a family run restaurant. We had a half liter of wine for less than 2 euros, and awesome meatballs. It's loud and vibrant and comfortable. If you want a bit of fun and a cheap, happy meal, go here!

The food is genuine as much as the atmosphere: good food, good wine, the bill is absolutely not expensive. Cibo ed atmosfera genuini e tipici fiorentini: buon cibo, buon vino e il conto per nulla salato.

The atmosphere is real, the food is great, the family is helpful, and the price is right. I brought a group of a dozen people and all of us loved the whole experience. Caters to locals, not tourists, so it rates high on my list.

Tucked away in the area known as Porta S Frediano Is this family run local restaurant. Very local. We were very happy that they spoke English since the type written daily menu is only available in Italian. This Immaculately clean and welcoming place is filled...More

Santo Spirito / San Frediano
A warm evening with a cocktail in your hand and great
company is the ideal way to experience Piazza Santo
Spirito; the area is busiest at sunset for happy hour.
Visitors cannot hide their astonishment sitting on the
staircase under the Basilica of Santo Spirito, and
they cannot help but stare at the architectural
masterpieces like Bianca Cappello House, Fontana dello
Sprone and San Frediano in Cestello and Santa Maria
