If your palette has been sufficiently satisfied with the delicious cuisine Florence has to offer, why not try something different? Buddakan is a fusion Asian restaurant. The owner was very friendly, speaks fluent English. It's very evident that the establishment caters to tour groups. However, she is keen on servicing the ordinary diners, as well. Why the three stars? Well,... More

If after some time in Firenze you really need a break from traditional fare, this is a very solid option. It took me 3 weeks but I finally couldn't face another antipasto, primarily or secundi. This place is tucked to the side of Santa Croce and easy to miss but seek it out. The staff was lovely and the the... More

Had my lunch at this restaurant and it was packed with Chinese customers from all over Asia as with most Asian restaurant. Service is fast but be prepared tone pressurized to leave the restaurant once you are done with your meal. Pretty much like Chinese fast food.

Travelling through Italy we ate more than our weight in pomodoro and carbonara and missed Asian food. Luckily we found Buddakan. Buddakan offers Thai, Japanese, Chinese and other Asian meals. If you want something other than pasta, then this is a great option. I recommend getting there early for dinner (1900) to avoid the tour groups.

We walked in at an admittedly busy time and were told to wait 15 minutes. The place was full of tour groups of about 20 people each. We decided to wait and she didn't ask us for details or any information about where to wait or how she would contact us later as there were many people outside sitting on... More

A nice place right at piazza Santa Croce, we had a delicious Thai soup, don't miss the prawn curry and coconut milk dish, is really good, we paid €64 for three people, including three main dishes plus three second dishes, one appetizer, water and a bottle of really good sparkling wine.

We felt a bit silly going for Oriental food in Florence, but fancied a change. Buddakan really exceeded our expectations. All the food was clearly made from scratch and tasted fresh and delicious. How you get crispy cold iceberg lettuce in a hot deep fried spring roll is anyone's guess! Dinner for two (2 starters, 2 mains, 2 sides, steamed... More

Then Buddakan is the perfect choice. Located at the right side of Santa Croce church facade, just at the beginning of Via San Giuseppe is a perfect stroll to a very satisfactory ambiance and menu. Many Asian cuisines are nicely represented and all at their best.

After 10 days in Italy, we were getting tired of Pizza's and Pasta's and fast food. Wanted a change of palette and discovered this gem of a place in Florence. The place is on the right side of Santa Croce Church and you cant miss the board. They have Chinese, Thai and Japanese menu. We tried the Chinese and thai... More
