We went here both nights of our stay in Florence with the kids. Every single dish was delicious. Antonio does a wonderful job. You will get a fair priced, wonderful meal so much better than many of the touristy places that are all show and no taste.

We came after reading the reviews and were highly disappointed. The food was lower than average. Pasta and Gnocchi from a box. Home wine was not fresh.

We stopped by for pasta and were pleasantly treated to some wonderful food for very reasonable prices. The service was friendly too.

I really wanted to try a lot of Bolognese (Ragu) when we were in Florence. After having an amazing lunch at another restaurant, I was excited to try La Capannina's bolognese as I googled 'best bolognese in Florence' and La Capannia Bistrot was the first hit. The portions were big yes, but the taste wasn't what I was hoping. Plus,... More

This bistro is a must visit when in Florence. The pasta was amazing, service good. And all at low prices too. Portions were really generous. Even though the cafe gets crowded, turnaround is pretty quick. We had to go back, 1 visit wasn't enough.

Went there as it was late night and near hotel. Food was so so with boiled dried pasta with some ingredients. Could have done better at other restaurant with the same price. Service is bit non existence here.

Crowded, small, family-run restaurant near the Mercato centrale. No frills, but the food is good and the people are friendly. Excellent pasta dishes. Recommended.

After a very enjoyable walk round the market we fancied lunch but felt the tourist traps in the market did not look like great value and so tried this little place just around the corner. It was full of hungry looking Italian guys which we thought was a good sign. The food was simple, pastas, risotto, gnocchi etc. The portions... More

Lovely local food (I'm Italian, so I know when a pasta is properly cooked "al dente" and when touristic!) and very generous portion! I would definetly go again!
