Usally I only go to restaurants I have looked up in advance on TA or Yelp but happened to stumble across Gusto and thought we’d give it ago as they had nice outdoor seating. Service was friendly but not super attentive. We ordered a suffle...with pecorino and a tuna salad from the standard menu. Both tasted great in all simplicity. However the items off the ”daily specials” were not great. The artichoke risotto tastet like it had been sitting for too long. Dry. Bland. Tasteless. Not a pleasant Experiene. But, the cod was the worst dish. Ok - this is Tuscany. Land of meat, cheese and bread. But everyone can cook cod. I actually sent the dish back. Poorly cooked. Over cooked. Dry. Tasted ”very fishy”. Bones left in the filet. Wouldn’t recomnend going as there are sooo many good options in this area.More
This fall semester I had the great pleasure of studying abroad in Florence. That being said I had a lot of time to explore and eat my way around Florence and with out a doubt the Gusta restaurants are at the top of my list...for best places to eat. All are super family friendly and offer high quality local cuisine. The prices are also super reasonable for those who are on a budget. All of the gusta restaurants are right next to each other so if you have lots of options. I personally requested Guata Osteria and Gusta Pizza the most. Gusta panino is good as well they have these meatballs with mashed potato’s that are just divine! They practically melt in your mouth. Overall, you can’t go wrong visiting any of the Gusta restaurants.More
Lovely place to eat. We had the Bistecca alla Fiorentina and it was really tasty and big enough. We also had the Pasta Carbonara that was super tasty. Prices ok, lovely location, friendly staff. And the wine was also very good.
Excellent restaurant. We ate pasta Fresca and Florentine steak. One of the best steaks of my life. Do not choose the doneness of the steak. The way they do it is the best. Extremely tender, soft and juicy! Excellent hospitality from Juan. Amazing ambience and...we had an brunello! A plus service and food we will definitely be back! Thanks so much Juan and the rest of the team for the Italian hospitality. Ciao!More
after a whole year of limitations we are almost free again. great place for lunch in front Santo spirito church perfect hospitality and Tuscan food your call to choose what you want to taste
Bistecca alla Fiorentina was big & tasty, even without a garnish. Pasta al pomorodo was also delicious. Salty in a good way. Waiter was friendly and helpful. We would definitely come back here and recommend the place for others. Ciao!
We ate our first meal in Florence at Gusta Osteria. I had the ribolitta soup. It’s a dense vegetable soup thickened with bread and served with a swirl of olive oil on top. The ribolitta hit all the savory notes. It was satisfying and delicious....We’ve since gone back several times. That ribolitta is still as delicious as are other items from their menu. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed the meatball platter, the lasagna, and more. This is a casual, family-friendly place. And for those of us who eat dinner well before the locals, Gusta Osteria starts evening service at 6 pm.More
Вкуснейшая еда, чудная атмосфера, прекрасное обслуживание, лучший флорентийский стейк! Ingenious Italian place. Delicious food. The best steak we had. And wonderful staff.
We were near the Boboli gardens with the kids (and Grandma and Grandpa) and everyone was hungry for dinner. My husband wanted steak Florentine, so we set off in search of a restaurant with something for everyone. We asked around with the locals we met...(we are chatty), and everyone pointed us to Gusta Osteria. They weren't wrong! We enjoyed excellent, friendly service and delicious food (our favorite in Florence). It was a surprisingly good value, as well. I highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely return the next time we are in Florence.More
NIce spot by San Spirito. Group of 8 came in before our train back to Arezzo. Everyone liked their meal. Good food, good service.
Very, very nice and cozy place. Good pasta, risotto, desert and wine. Home made food, perfectly done. Staff is very warm and kind, all of them, including Mauricio, the owner witch is very helpful and a fine host. If you want to finish perfectly satisfied,...ask for a pijama desert and grappa! Grazzie from portuguese costumersMore
We ate here on a rainy night and the service was great. We told them we were in a hurry (Italian restaurants usually have pretty slow service) and they brought the food right away. They were fun and good humored, and the food was delicious....I recommend the risotto.More
But hardly special... I liked the friendly welcome & the fact that I could get a great glass of very good wine cheaply with my light lunch ..I did NOT appreciate a menu that listed pasta w (seasonal !) truffles that proved subsequent to my...ordering them ..weren’t actually available!!! Grrr! My reluctantly alternate selection of porcini( fresh!) risotto was ok ..but the lazy kitchen hadn’t cleaned them efficiently so there was a residual grittiness to the otherwise quite nicely achieved dish. Bad mark here. I left feeling it was below par overall...maybe I was just unlucky? However I think one can do better nearby.More
it was our first trip to Florence and we have eaten in a few places but this is the only place we have gone back to. The waitresses are friendly and made us feel welcome and the food was tasty homecooked. Will definitely come here...again if we return to FlorenceMore
