Appena traslocati qui; è diventato nostro "salotto" per vedere i tramonti spettacolari sul fiume. Personale gentile e disponibili. Drinks e aperitivi abbondanti. Sembra che anche i pasti siano molto buoni. We just moved here and we love this little bar. A lovely place to see the spectacular sunsets over the Arno. Great drinks and aperitivi, and seems everyone loves the... More

We were on our way back to the hotel when we decided to stop for a bite to eat. We decided this looked like a nice place. We ordered a salad that was huge. It was freshly made with ham, black olives, marinated artichokes, carrots, lettuce and fresh mozzarella cheese. It was large enough for the two of us. The fettucini... More

Slow service to begin with but great drinks- we had fresh orange juice, an americano and iced coffees and they were all fantastic. Would definitely go again!

Sadly slow service is what did not make this restaurant for me, had to wait nearly 15mins for drinks to arrive & 45mins for two pizza's - yes I know it's all about chilling but in the heat we had wanted drinks & food promptly !!

Great lunch stop, been twice in 2 days. Food excellent, and you get plenty. €12 for a club sandwich sounds a lot but really tasty and good sized portions too. Salad and pizza also really good and service great. Definitely recommend, we might even go a 3rd time.

Easy to locate from our hotel. Service was prompt and food came quickly. The food was fresh and tasty. Waitress was helpful. Good clean bathroom. We had prosciutto with melon, salad and pizza's. The food hit the spot and price was reasonable given the location

We have eaten here twice this week as they are only a block or two from the Westin. Prices are very good for Italy. Most dishes are under 12€. The salmon app. was awesome. Thin pieces of very tender lox & a lot of it for 9€. Beer and house wine were 5€ each.

Sounds a bit pricey at €15 for a breakfast but you get loads and the scrambled eggs are amazing. Lots of toast and jams as well as pastries..... Well worth a visit

After a day of travel to Florence, we were not up to roaming the City in search of a restaurant - as it turns out, most places are closed on Sunday, so we ended up roaming a bit... we walked along the Arno and passed by a couple places with ~30 euro dishes and finally came across Caffe 'del 900...... Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
