Finally, great service in Italy. The food is very good as well. Menu changes with the seasons. Cozy restaurant that you'd probably walk right by, but it's worth a stop. You'll love Stefano, if only we all could be so happy doing our jobs. He's the biggest reason we've been back several times. Was pretty busy on Monday night but... More

This trattoria was 15 feet from the apartment we stayed at. We tried it on our last night and I wish we had done it sooner. The waiter was a joy. He worked so hard. He greater us, seated us, served us, and seemed to love what he did. The food was great.

Great food and friendly service. However he did add on 6 euros for a small bit of mushrooms on the steak (a 40% increase on the meal price), after he pressured us into adding them and implied that they would be a free extra. It's a shame because the food was lovely and the waiter was otherwise very friendly.

We had diner twice last week at this authentic Tuscan restaurant. It was great both times! Very friendly and welcoming service. Very good authentic dishes for a very reasonable price. We had a super Papa Pommedori, a delicious strawberry risotto, "meatballs Accadi" in an eggplant sauce and tasty Peposo. Also a great homemade cheesecake and Tiramisu. The house wine was... More

This little place was such a treat that we returned the next night with friends. The manager, Stephano, is a wonderful host and a lovely person. The food was prepared thoughtfully and well... I loved the risotto with fresh porcini and the dessert of homemade biscotti dipped in Vin Santo dessert wine was a revelation. The prices were very reasonable... More

I have heard a lot about this restaurant from friends, but never actually been until yesterday. And what a pity! The food was great, very reasonably priced and the waiter was lovely. Would definitely recommend the polpettine and the peposo.

The food was amazing and definitely made to order. Wine, salads, pasta and dessert were best we had in Florence and prices were great too. Don't miss the homemade almond cookies and wine for dessert. Hospitality of owner even surpassed the food if that was possible! A great find away from the tourist traps.

We were so happy with our dinner we came back a second time! Lots of locals! The pear honey and cheese appetizer was wonderful. The ravioli in butter sauce and eggplant parmesan were exceptional. The cheesecake was really light and warm right out of the oven. Service was helpful and friendly. Would recommend without hesitation

We went out with a bunch of local Tuscans for lunch and they took us to Trattoria Accadi. I ordered spaghetti "cacio e pepe" and it was better than when I had it during my last visit to Rome. As a second course, I got the roasted rabbit with a side of spinach. Excellent. My husband's tuna and tomato pasta... More

This restaurant was just round the corner of our appartment. We had special primi called gnudi, trippe and tagliata. Also the wine was very good and the staff very nice and helpfull. Shame there was no salt and pepper and oil on the table.

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
