Went to dinner tonight with my wife. She had the vegetarian menu, I had bruschetta, lasagna, and porchetta with potatoes. The good: the house wine was pretty decent and cheap, the bruschetta, pasta and potatoes were good. The bad: the vegetables were over cooked, the lasagna didn't have much flavor (I can consistently make a better lasagna at home, and... More

We were looking for a place to eat that was not too expensive with my partner when we were visiting Florence from Rome. We were expecting to eat in a random pizzeria, but stumbled upon La Padellaccia accidentally. We discovered that they offered pretty much the best price for a proper Florentine steak, so we decided to give it a... More

My wife and I went on a recommendation. Everyone was very nice. Service was very good. We went specifically for Steak Fiorentina. It was good, but far from memorable. The chef came out to our table to make sure we were enjoying and strongly recommended not adding anything - not salt, pepper, etc. we followed his direction, but after a... More

Came here again one year after the last time i visited Florence and it was the same great food as last time. First class place. Only but. Is that the only waiter on job was a bit absent at times.

This is a very homey looking place from the outside, including handwritten menus. Actually the place would not draw you to enter in terms of décor - almost none in the entrance area. However, like many Italian restaurants, once you enter the space opens up into many rooms with tables for service. I was delighted with my "fixed price" menu... More

Too difficult to refuse a home cooked meal by Mama..... The food is excellent. The menu well thought out. This is a value for money resturant. Large seating area with an outside undercover dining area. If Mama stops you in the street...go in....or go back...you wont be disappointed.

Great T bone steak cooked rare with baked potatoes in olive oil & rosemary. Lovely meal with a great carafe of local Tuscan red wine. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Following reviews on this site we went here for the famous Florentine steak and the steak was fabulous but the rest was disappointing. The place has no atmosphere , lights are bright and you felt like you were in a cafe. We ordered a Tuscany platter for starter which was a couple of slices of meat , we ordered a... More

We went to this restaurant in the knowledge it was a no nonsense establishment behind a butcher's shop - the advice was that the meat was excellent and... ...the meat was excellent. The restaurant is unprepossessing from the street and pretty basic inside - much bigger than expected though. We had the obligatory Florentine T-Bone which was delicious and a... More

La Padellaccia is a very good restaurant. We went there with our pupils. The atmosphere was fantastic and the waitors very kind.
