We had a delicious meal here. The best dish was undoubtedly rabbit stuffed with prosciutto, scamorza and olives, and although I cannot usually be bothered with rabbit, to be honest, I was on this occasion very glad that I followed the recommendation of the waiter. We ate here on the second night of our holiday and came back the next two nights. Gianni and the rest of the staff were so welcoming they made us feel really special. We both loved the Crostini Toscani - chicken liver pate, the wild boar fettucine was amazing, in fact everything we tried on the menu was excellent and... More

Friendly personal service by Emilio and owner Johnny. We have yet to have anything we didn't like but so far the veal and the tiramisu are really good. They do take out as well and their freshly made biscotti is very good. They have their own Chianti which is good as well. Easy to get to on piazza San Marco... More

Very nice restaurant. They ready to receive us. They were very busy, but at the same time they had time for us. The waiters english was perfect. We had anti pasta, pasta, meat and desert - very good traditional Florentine, Italien food. We could get different wines by glas and very good wines.

Located in Piazza San Marco this restaurant was conveniently located downstairs from our apartment. A wonderful ambience greats you together with the staff. The menus is diverse, we had lasagne al forno, stuffed rabbit (yummy) and spaghetti alla vongole with a couple of glasses of house wine (excellent) to wash it down. For the 3 of us it was only... The food at this restaurant is good without being pretentious. Different wine is provided with each course and there is a feeling of generosity I have seldom encountered. This restaurant really is terrific value and I just regret we did not return instead of trying elsewhere. Recommended!

Our family's dinner was consistent with many of the recent reviews. The service was very good. The food was amazing. And the evening was extremely enjoyable. I recommend this restaurant without hesitation! One additional tip: we arrived early and the restaurant filled quickly. Make a reservation!

The atmosphere is very homely with great waiting staff. We were greeted with respect and even though it is christmas day we were expecting a slower service but we were WRONG! Upon being seating we were greeted by the friendly staff who time and time again answered all our questions. The menu is very simple and easy to understand and... More

Have been here several times and enjoyed each time. This place shows dignity in neat service, classical Tuscan food and wines. Very nice price quality ratio.

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The pleasant atmosphere of this residential area, a stone’s throw away from the Duomo of Florence, surprises everyone. A continuous flow of backpacking students provides the tranquil surroundings for the elderly residents who sit in Piazza San Marco to read the daily newspaper. Home to several universities, including the Academy of Fine Arts, San Marco is one of the most vibrant cultural centers in the city. A bridge connecting the modern cultural activity of Florence to its classic art, represented by the everlasting magnificence of the original David, resonates as a symbol of Florence and of Italy as a whole. Get lost in a Neoclassic world, a journey back in time through historic buildings like Spedale degli Innocenti (Hospital of the Innocents), San Marco church, Basilica della Santissima Annunziata, and natural jewels like the Botanical Gardens.
