We came here for dinner on a recommendation and were not disappointed. Everything was delicious - the Gnudi was melt-in-your mouth superb - and their House Chianti was excellent. We loved our meal and would return in a heartbeat the next time we're in Florence.

This is a special restaurant, and when we went in for lunch, it was surprisingly quiet ! To have a peaceful lunch just around the corner from the invading tourists was a real treat in this little street. The food, the staff, the wine , the service were all just great. An Italian eating-out gem of a place, and the... More

This restaurant is in a fantastic location and it provides free wi-fi. We were seated immediately and we were also immediately served with bread and water. We ordered the trippa fiorentina and the tortelli with pear and walnuts. The food arrived VERY quickly and it was fantastic. The trippa was very tender and tastey and the tortelli were cooked perfectly... More

We stopped by to grab a seat because this restaurant had nice outdoor seating. We were pleasantly greeted by an aperol drink starter, then after ordering came the bread with olive oil and balsamic. I tried the pear gargonzola and unfortunately the red pear didn't seem quite ripe enough. I was expecting a sweeter, softer yellow pear. My husband's melon... More

We just fancied some good, Italian food in an authentic restaurant, off the tourist route. This is a gem. The smoked salmon and fennel starter was delicious and although it wasn't on the menu, I asked if they could prepare a traditional spaghetti bolognaise, which they were happy to do. The pasta was perfectly cooked al dente, and the ragu... More

Beautiful place but a little on the touristy and expensive side. This was suggested by our airbnb owner. when we visited Florence in Sept 2015. We weren't disappointed, this was our fine dinning meal in Firenze;) Between the 6 of us we shared 2 florentine steaks with oven potatoes, risoto asparagus, pasta and house wine, needless to say we had... Our second night in Florence my boyfriend and I were keen to try a florentine steak and having had a wander found Osteria Del Porcellino. A quick check of trip advisor showed a good rating and the Florentine steak was €40 which seemed about average compared to other restaurants in the area, so we decided to try it. We were... More

Went with a group for dinner the night before a wedding. We all ordered Florentine Steak which was exceptional. All three courses were very well prepared and presented and served by exceptional staff.

It is interesting that in the heart of the tourist district of Florence you can find such terrible restaurants and then again, such gems. The Osteria del Porcellino is a gem. We sought out this restaurant specifically for the pear and pecorino cheese ravioli. We started with salads which were perfect. Fresh ingredients and vegetables that tasted like something! Then...
