The bruschetta appetizer was okay, but the tomatoes were a little tasteless. Got the margherita pizza and it was the worst pizza I've gotten in Florence. It tasted like jarred sauce and the mozzarella didn't taste fresh. It was a nice atmosphere with outdoor seating but there are so many great places to eat in Florence, don't waste your time... More

Stopped off for a break from our sightseeing to enjoy a great pizza here...considering the location the prices were ok too. Service prompt and cheerful, only let-down was the toilet which was overflowing with used tissues. Would definitely eat here again though.

The food tastes really bad, not fresh and pricey. Classic tourist restaurant, I advice you to look for a different place to eat. Enjoy Firenze :)

We had starters and a pizza and it was great. Drinks really good and dessert was huge and tasty. We sat outside and good view of the palace. Its a nice location as it is slightly away from the really busy area which was good for us.

My husband & I stopped in to this little cafe for lunch before visiting the Pitti Palace. There's not much decor. I had a spinach dish that was good then we each had a pasta dish and one salad and 2 smalll bottles of still water. The service was good but the food was just average. Not much to write... More

Convenient location right across from Pitti Palace, but that's it. Worst meal we've had not just in Florence, but in Italy. Everything overpriced. Panzanella tasteless and not fresh. Pizza the worst we've had in two weeks in Italy: no flavor, with a bland, industrial crust. Service ok. 45 Euros for a pizza, the aforementioned awful salad, and two beers, and... More

After a busy morning walking around we decided to stop for a bite to eat. Food was fresh and enjoyable and a decent glass of Dry white wine.

We had drinks and (eventually) dinner when the Pitti had a scheduled opera event. It was great fun to watch the people arrive. We sat outside even with sporadic rain showers and our waiter was kind enough to continue to wipe off the table. The food is tasty and was delivered in a reasonable timeframe and we felt no pressure... More

We were walking the streets in Florence and came across this gem. The outdoor seating was right near the Pitti Palace. We had the regular cheese pizza and it did not disappoint. The crust was chewy and thin with olive oil flavor and the sauce was pomodoro tomatoes. The cheese was so tangy and fresh. We ate heartily and had... More

Staying in Pitti

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
