View of plaza is the real reason to go here. Good and service are good as well. Draught beer and nice wine selection makes it fun to sit at the cafe and enjoy the sights

Being next to the Pitti, I was afraid it would be a tourist trap, but the food was excellent. Fresh ingredients well prepared, and reasonably priced. Paolo was a first-rate server, friendly and attentive. I had two different meals, one of pasta, the other a very fresh salad, and enjoyed both.

I have eaten many good meals here in Florence; this was not one of therm. The food was somewhat bland and overpriced relative to many other places to dine. To be fair, we chose the place because it had many open tables while the neighboring restaurants were crowded. Now I know why. Give it a pass.

Don't need to talk about location as it's a no brainer. But the food is fu### good! Fresh and good. Try the Mix appetizer with truffle: flan, carpaccio and burrata!!! The service was very kind and spoke English well! Go for it!!!

Yes, it's a tourist restaurant with café attached. As it was raining we decided a quick bite in the small café would be sufficient. We were greeted by a cheerful guy, took a table and ordered Panini and some beer, the waiter hung around chatting, a genuinely nice guy. Lunch was okay, didn't seem overpriced considering the area, so I've... More

We stopped here for a drink after visiting the Pitti Palace and Boboli gardens. We both had a large beer (just under a pint/ Half litre), but were pretty shocked to find that they were 8 euros each for fairly average beer. A bit of a tourist trap, and I'd visit the wine bar a few doors down next time... More

Complete tourist trap given the location. Waiter was upset that I only ordered a salad which was sad. Saw what others had ordered and it was clear it was all prepackaged and warmed up. The tomatoes were not fresh in the salad I ordered either. The wine was not great and the cover charge was 3 euro. There were so... More

We were staying in an apartment and realised that this restaurant was always busy, which is a good sign. The location is on a traffic free street directly opposite the Pitti Palace. The staff were very attentive and efficient. The food was excellent and is a mix of local and regional Italian dishes. We had a leisurely evening meal initially... More

had the fixed lunch menu for 15 euros meat (roasted pork) was overcooked, dry, quite literally a pain to eat, the portions were painstakingly small the pasta was overly salted the food is generally quite terrible and a disgrace to Italian cuisine

4 of us ate here before going to Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens. We had a fabulous meal, good wine and were not rushed. We were able to rest our feet, enjoy the glorious Florence weather and sip our wine. I had my favorite Margareta pizza (sauce, cheese and basil); my husband had his favorite minestrone soup. Our friends had... More

Staying in Pitti

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
