This place was recommended by the owner of our apartment, we went on the first night and were not disappointed. A lovely old fashioned interior and just one man front of house who was both welcoming and knowledgeable about the food. We started with a...More

We stumbled across this place while walking in Florence. Fantastic service, cheap and lovely house wine. Beautiful and delicious food and great value for money! We went back for a second meal to have the steak and rosemary potatoes and were very glad we did!

A small place with a big heart for their customers. The food was very good, the service helpful, personal and friendly. This is a place that I could want to have as a neighbourhood restaurant, and it was obvious that some of the clientele were...More

Small owner-run restaurant with typical Tuscan dishes, just off the market area behind San Lorenzo. Worth seeking out for a satisfying and relatively cheap meal. Been five times, never disappointed. Love the rabbit. Quick service.

The "risotto" was actually rice, brought to our table within 10 minutes of ordering it. The other food was well cooked and well seasoned, but it's not inexpensive. So many other 5 star restaurants in the neighborhood, this one is easy to skip.

After suffering some fairly unappealing meals in Venice, we arrived in Florence and dined here our first evening. IMO, no reservations required if you get here early. By early, I mean between 7 and 7:30 p.m. (it opens at 7). This is a very casual...More

Found this on our travel agent app and thought it sounded good. Found out later, it’s been featured on Rick Steve’s book and on TripAdvisor, but that honestly doesn’t ruin the experience. My husband and I arrived around 7:45PM on a Friday. When we walked...More

San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind

ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor
market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a
vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to
