The Best hamburgers in Florence, great attention and fair prices. The American breakfast it's kind of expensive but tasty and the eggs and bacon sandwich is good but at that price it's better to order an hamburger.

We searched for this place because we were longing some food from home. It sure hit the spot!! We ordered strawberry pancakes, the Greek and Western omelette & the Slider plate. Everything was super delicious!! Thank you for the wonderful dinner and letting us have a taste of home while in Florence. Everyone was super friendly and helpful with suggestions.

Great if you want some good typical diner food. It's the closest thing you're going to find to "American food" in Florence. As an American, it was a much needed break from all the pizza and pasta. I recommend the burgers and chicken!!

The Diner sits on a back street in Firenze (Florence), Italy. Operated by an American from Atlanta and a Canadian from Toronto, it serves up a hearty and delicious breakfast in a town where a pastry and a tiny cup of espresso are the rule. I ate there only twice because no one outside of one tabacci seemed to know... More

If you're having a hard time finding authentic American food in Florence, look no further. This place hits the spot! Their menu is in English and they have a variety of American eats like bacon cheeseburgers, B.L.Ts, chocolate chip pancakes, eggs Benedict, etc. And, they have FREE WATER (not an easy find in Florence). Not to mention they have great... More

Savory, filling, and perfect for lunch, brunch, or post-work dinner. the thick cut bacon is to die for...eat too much of it and you may die...delicious death. the fries are thick-cut and have a nice blend of crispiness to soft tater heaven.

Usually I don't want to eat anything traditionally American when I'm traveling. But let's be honest. When you're starving and exhausted and American breakfast is exactly what you need. This is tucked away, but it has bacon, maple syrup, and pancakes. So hits the spot!

I basically went to this place every hangover morning to have a dose of fat :P It is a good place. The pancake are not impressive, too sweet for me. The service is good. The ambience is great too. You need to give it a try.

Dear Johanick, Thank you for taking your time to review us, we're glad you enjoyed our food. We're sorry that you were not a fan of the pancakes -- we get daily compliments for our homemade recipe and many of our clients come exclusively for the pancakes. To each his own. It was our last night in Florence and we wanted to try something different. I had been here before and I didn't have a great opinion of the place, but that was year ago! This past visit to The Diner was great! We had breakfast for dinner. It was delicious.

We were tired of having a sweet breakfast & wanted some good bacon & eggs. We found 'The Diner' & it provided exactly what we wanted, eggs benedict, full english breakfast, omelettes & large coffees. The service is great, the wait staff are friendly & helpful, & the food is yummy.

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
