We have eaten here twice while on our vacation and enjoyed the food both times and the price is right. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Nice little restaurant close to train station in somewhat shady looking area. Portions are big enough, attentive staff, good homemade wine, free wifi and... NO Cover Charge! Good option to eat peacefully on roadside little patio after a tiring day in touristic zones.

We enjoyed this restaurant as the food was very good and the price was right for us. What made the experience more enjoyable was the friendliness of the staff and in particular Fernando who was very helpful with all our questions.

One of the best restaurants I have been to in Italy. Food was delicious and at an extremely reasonable price. Service was quick and staff were friendly. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Firenze

Service was friendly and food was great! Much better value for money than the restaurants by the squares. Would definitely go again!

Was amazed with how so many of the restaurants have tables literally in the street. It was a nice evening so we decided to sit outside. The service was ok, they don't have a cover charge as I was told by my family that so many in Italy do, but they only gave you bottled water at 3e per is... More

Make sure when you read the menu to take it all literally. I ordered a pizza assuning that I had cheese on it,... More

This is our second time having lunch in the restaurant (our second trip to Florence). The staff was welcoming and food was lovely. As usual, the seafood sphagetti didn't disappoint us. The fried calamari and gambas were present beautifully and tasted delicious. Our tiramisu dessert was a let down though. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and would not hesitate... More

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
