All dishes we tried were amazingly small. I ordered some Ragu pasta in which I had no luck finding any trace of meat. Plus, the waiter had suggested us having "half" a portion as starter, we now think it was some internal joke between the...service as they saw we were a family of four and not a fancy couple to have supper. We paid good money for not good and very little food.More

Hi LadyGreensLeeves, when you wrote the review the restaurant was already closed for COVID 19 emergency since 20 days. Actually we have no dishes in the menu similar to Ragu Pasta since last Christmas. If you came at lunch you can find half portions at...More

One of our best meals in Florence, and that’s saying a lot. (It was difficult to find, as someone else said, because there’s another 15 on Via Della Oche, which isn’t this Osteria. If you find yourself there, walk in the other direction towards Grom...Gelateria and you’ll come upon Osteria de’Cicalini. Or, use Google maps to find it. Apple Maps took us to the other 15—the wrong location) The food was elegant, delicious, and they presented unusual pairings, not just with the wine, but the food, itself. (e.g. two different Pecorino cheeses with two different types of pears as an appetizer.) The menu is small, which suggests the chef puts his energy and creativity into a few offerings. The pasta was fresh and perfectly executed. It was nice to dine in a simple, more modern restaurant that wasn’t just offering tourist type food. Well worth a visit.More

We had a wonderful lunch and a few nice glasses of Chianti! The sea bass tar tar was excellent. The grilled octopus with ink colored mashed potatoes was terrific. The pasta with truffles was great. Fantastic lunch. Good service.

I came here with a group of work colleagues. I was slightly stuck when ordering as wasn’t huge option for vegetarian. Interesting menu. Food tasted lovely but not huge portions. Relaxed atmosphere. Probably wouldn’t go back but was nice experience.

Each of our three pastas were incredible...with a twist that added complexity and flavor. Perfectly cooked too. Also, to satisfy my love of red cabbage, they made it into a salad for me, with thinly sliced pear “flowers” garnish. Delish! As was my husband’s sea...bass tartare. Reasonable priced wines, good service, modern atmosphere.More

Our family enjoyed dinner at Osteria de’Cicalini on our last night in Florence. We’d had several enjoyable Tuscan meals already, but this meal combined the foods and recipes of the region with a more modern style - for example our meal included beef with goats...cheese and fried pumpkin flowers, a hemp seed pesto with pasta, and ravioli filled with eggplant and mozzarella. The enthusiasm for local produce extended to the drinks menu - our aperitif was similar to an aperol spritz, but made with a local Tuscan bitters in place of aperol. The menu is shorter than most other restaurants we visited, but everything we had was elegantly executed using quality ingredients. Fortunately we saved room for desserts - zucotto, a walnut cake with blue cheese ice cream, and coconut ice cream with raspberries in a chocolate shell. All three were delicious.More

This is not your typical Italian place I would say it comes with a twist.. the food was excellent so was the service. If you are tired of pasta this is the place for you. I can recommend.

Title says it all. Highly rated already by TripAdvisor and exceeded expectations. Cheese and meats antipasto terrific. Pasta great. Lambrusco by the glass freshly opened and best ever. Much the same with Tuscan Sangiovese by the glass. Prices minute for the value. Ambiance pleasing and...service very friendly.More

The historic center is characterized by the immensity
