My husband and I stayed in Florence for a month, and this was our favorite restaurant. We dined here several times and entertained several friends here. The owner and the marvelous wait staff made every visit special. After our first visit, they knew us and welcomed us generously. The friendly atmosphere and the wonderful food made us glad to return... More

The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere! It is cosy and perfect for a romantic dinner. The staff (the ones that we met) were very kind and really making an effort to make you feel great. The food was also very good. I was surprised to see that the pasta carbonara had cream in it (the classical recipe doesn't) but... More

Everything is perfect in this restaurant! Since the moment the staff invites you in, the hospitality is very kind! The restaurant has the Italian traditional food and also Toscana (its region) traditional food. The food is very fresh and delicious two most important things that everyone expects. Il paiolo is a beautiful restaurant in interior design because its so romantic... More

We ate there dinner and it was wonderful. The waiters were very professional and kind. The environment was very nice - with jazz music. the food was excellent and satisfing. In the end, we got a nice limonchello from the house.

Had lunch here, we both ordered the ravioli with cheese. The service was quite good and the waiter was attentive. The meal arrived quickly and we both enjoyed it. I would recommend having a meal at this restaurant if you are in Florence.

The food at this restaurant was actually good, but the bait and switch with all of the lies really spoiled the experience. We were looking for a good steak and the restaurant that had been recommended to us was fully booked, so we decided to try Ristorante II Paiolo. The T-bone was there recommendation and the waiter even spoke of... More

Stumbled across this little gem after a busy day sightseeing. To be fair, we only walked in because we were starving, but mama mia the food was bellisomo! It's a tiny little place so expect to get a little cozy with fellow diners but the food and atmosphere make up for it. Our waiter was spot on and extremely friendly.... More

Very helpful waiter, good food and lovely wine. This is a busy restaurant however, the staff take their time to give advice and recommendations. It was a pleasure eating here - we went back for seconds and just as good second time around.

Thank Irene D

Florentine restaurant in Florence since 1980.Tuscan Chef.traditional cuisine (great Fiorentina steak) but even lots of seasonal recepies with fresh fish and meat. vegetarian and gluten free menù is also available.very interesting proposals in the wine card :local producers and even organic wines to experience for a real "touch" about our land.good atmosphere and courtesy add something special to the food.Ristorante familiare con staff. Cucina fiorentina e creativa. Tanti i vini in carta con particolare attenzione a piccole realtà territoriali.l'accoglienza è cortese e cordiale .

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
