I visited Firenze again after many months and today I brought with me my friend to enjoy the delicious food they prepare at Il Paiolo. We had some antipasti "Burrata & carciofi" and cheese slices. Then my friend ordered Ravioli with truffles & I had a filet with truffles. All very delicious. We also took 2 glasses of red wine... More

I went to this restaurant for lunch on my birthday in November and had a delicious pasta with lobster dish. The food was so good and the waiter so pleasant that we immediately booked dinner for that evening. The evening didn't disappoint with everyone at the restaurant really making my birthday night going above and beyond. The food was terrific,... More

The dishes chosen were sublime - from the aspargus soufflle starter, lobster spaghetti and home made panna cotta ... and the wine ... all excellent! Eraldo was so friendly and charming and even gave an Italian lesson. He is a credit to the restaurant. We were the last to leave but that was no bother. They gave us a very... More

We stopped in for a light early dinner and ended up having full dinners and some excellent wines. The host/waiter was great - a lot of fun without being pushy or obnoxious at all. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was excellent.

Me and my friend went here when we were in Florence and we could not have been happier. It is very well located in the middle of the center and easy to find. The food was amazing and the service if possible better. A really nice and authentic restaurant perfect for dinner with friends or for couples. Definitely recommend it!... More

It was a good thing we had booked, because our reserved table was the only one unoccupied when we arrived. They talk you through the dishes if you wish, and through your choice of wine. I can recommend the risotto stuffed with potato and with truffles. The tiramisu is the best I have tasted. A decent Chianti Classico rounded off... More

We arrived early evening as the Birds of Paradise flowers where coming off the tables and candles were being lit. The chef was carrying a rib of beef into the kitchen and the staff warm and friendly! I had porcini stuffed ravioli with nettle sauce which was really delicious--we all had good pasta dishes, followed by tiramisu--homemade of course! Good... More

Cucina fiorentina e creativa. Tanti i vini in carta con particolare attenzione a piccole realtà territoriali.l'accoglienza è cortese e cordiale .

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
