Really, truly lovely family-owned restaurant. The food (wild boar parpadelle and sliced steak) were absolutely delicious and the staff were the kindest and most generous we met during our week in Tuscany. Would strongly recommend as a must-go for anyone visiting Florence!

Our best meal in our six-day trip to Florence. So much so that we went there twice. I had the lemon ravioli and the wild boar stew and my husband had the Florentine T-bone steak. Potatoes were roasted to perfection. The warm yellow flower cake...with chocolate was super yummy too. Both times we went there we got a complimentary glass of Prosecco and a discount. Service was incredibly sweet and attentive. The place was filled with Italians and tourists alike.More

The best meal we had on our two week journey through Italy. Combine the delicious food with the warm, friendly and amusing staff and our evening was perfect! Five people split two of the 1.5KG Nobile steaks and with sides it was more than enough...food. The sides- both preparations of beans and the rosemary potatoes were outstanding. I ordered the Fagottini de Pecorino Pere Fondue- little pasta bundles with cheese and pear in a fondue sauce- WOW! We were served both complimentary glasses of prosecco at the start of our evening and limoncello to end the night. Our server also recommended a very good bottle of Chianti to complement the fantastic steaks. Make a reservation! This family run restaurant seemed to truly care that your evening would be memorable.More

Wonderful service. Reservations are recommended in this small restaurant. Food was very good whether you have pasta or bistecca Florentine. Very nice selection on the menu. Prices were reasonable.

Wow, wow, wow!! What an experience!! 1st, the waiter that welcomed us was so much fun and welcoming!! The rest of the staff was great too 2nd: I had the best meat I have ever eaten in my whole life: la nobile. My mouth is...watering just thinking about it! The taste….the tenderness….just amazing Considering the quality of the meat, I think the price is correct. We had approx 1.5kg (inc bone) for 2 + beans that were also tasty + 1 bottle of house wine (11€ a bottle and it was great!) for approx 100€ 5/10 min walk from Santa Maria della novella far from the restaurants dedicated to tourists Can’t recommand it enough, don’t hesitateMore

What a fantastic experience! We were greeted warmly upon arrival and the service continued to be top notch until the moment we left. The staff clearly takes great pride in their food and it is understandable because our meal was amazing. We had the caprese...salad, then the lemon and mushroom ravioli, and finally the bisteca fiorentina. The mozarella in the caprese salad was immensely fresh, the ravioli sauce was delicious, and the steak was the best we've ever had. We hope to return soon!More

In the place of the “bisteca fiorentina”, what to do when you think they serve it too raw? This restaurant brings it to the table in a small barbecue device and you can cook it a little more on your take. The meat was extremely...good, soft and tasty. Excellent!More

As soon as we arrived, we were very well treated and the waiter was very friendly and highly professional! The food is very good, i got a steak and my wife the pastas stuffed with lemon and truffles, everything was perfect. I recommend getting the...T bone steak (that i couldn't get as at least two people's must order it from the table), which looked magnificent! I recommend strongly!More

This is place the was recommended by our hotel staff. Nice place with really friendly service. We took antipasti and a secondi. Very generous servings. Way to much food for us, but everything was really tasty.

We LOVED this restaurant. The food was excellent, as was the service. My wife had "parcel of pecorino and pears" which was exquisite, and I had the ravioli which was excellent. The bill, with the pasta, wine, slitting gelato and a beer was only $40!!...Ridiculous for a meal of this quality. Run, do not walk to get here.More

Our best dinner in Florence. I had amazing wild boar pasta and did not regret it. Most other guests had the Bistecca alla Fiorentina. Definetly on the list for next time.

The Food brings you in, the service brings you back . Antonio is so passionate about his restaurant, has been a real pleasure to watch him work and taste Gratella' s amazing food. Really appreciated the hospitality and enjoyed the amazing Fiorentina Steak.

We read about this restaurant in Rick Steve's Italy; usually he notes if reservations required (or advised). Although it didn't note it, they did ask if we had a reservation, but, no problem we seated quickly anyway. It seemed like a popular restaurant which is...nice; we arrived when it first opened in case it was full. My sister and her husband shared pasta with boar, I think, and a steak with mushrooms; they enjoyed both. They are foodies/culinary and enjoyed it very much. My husband and I have to eat very small sizes and shared roast potatoes (very tasty!) and a sirloin steak. We wanted to try the female fillet, but the waitress suggested that the sirloin wold be be thicker and able to be cooked more without drying out too much (I'm surprised she mentioned that accommodation as my BIL, as well as others, mentioned that the local chefs cook meat a certain way to enhance and will not cook it to another level - if you got a problem with, there's the door; it did come out pretty rare.) My husband who refuses to eat anything less than well done manfully ate the steak oozing pretty red juices. We were hoping to be able to use the table top brazier so that we could cook to the different tastes. The only true negative was the bread, and I can't say if it was terrible or just because I understand Florentine bread doesn't have salt. Both men enjoyed their wine, red and white, and prosecco. Waitress patiently answered questions. Prices seemed comparable although it seems like everything in Europe is expensive!More
