Excellent food with amazing staff. Francesco (Roberto) in the kitchen, Alessandro in the front of the house with Mama working when it's busy. We were made to feel so at home that we kept coming back during the two weeks we were in Florence. Always ask about specials and you might get some wonderful surprises. Make a connection with the... At the exit of Galeria Uffizi turn right, and find this nice family run business, hiding behind a small door. Excellent Italian dishes at a very reasonable price. Not a tourist trap which was a big surprise.

Stumbled across this trattoria very near our hotel on our first night in Florence and were blown away by their Bistecca - we'd been recommended to try this dish while we were in Florence and the version we got in this trattoria was even better than we could have hoped for. We loved this place so much that we ended... More

Very close to Galileo Museum we found this gem that has excellent food and friendly atmosphere. Roberto the cook will come our and meet customers, his wife Maria helps at lunch time and their son Alessandro is very personable and efficient at serving all of the tables. Beef fillet, pasta dishes and desserts are excellent. Especially liked the tiramisu. The... More

My girlfriend and I had dinner here the other night. It was the best meal we have had in over a week in Italy. Family owned which was great. Definitely will be back. Girlfriend had the gnocchi and I had the wild boar tagliatelle. Perfecto!

Don't miss this great place to eat in Florence. It is off the beaten path (near Galileo Museum) so don't expect to just happen upon it. However, you will feel right at home in this friendly, family owned and operated restaurant, where local atmosphere is alive, food is fantastic, and desserts . . . well, just don't miss the chocolate... After searching around for a place for 8 adults and 2 children to eat mid afternoon we were made very welcome by all of the staff! The food was just what we were looking for, good, tasty, authentic Italian food!! (On a side note it was also very well priced) We may have stayed past their closing time but we... More

We had a great time at Roberto's Trattoria. Food was fresh and traditional. They were very friendly and attentive with us ( we were in a group of 10). It's worth a visit :).

We were welcomed warmly as we entered and left 3 hours later as part of the family. Amazing dinner like my Sicilian grandfather used to cook. Food preparation was Devine, portions plentiful and the staff welcoming and accommodating... Our companions included two local police officers, two local artists, newlyweds and other neighborhood regulars. A true find. We will be back... More

We just happen to walk past and saw the Porcini Mushrooms in the window and walked in. I would rate this as the best meal we (3) had eaten in all of Italy. What a little treasure with no billboard or advertising outside, but the food coming from the kitchen is world class and tasty. The son as waiter and... More
