We were recommended this restaurant from friends and was not disappointed. We were surprised that the restaurant was quiet, the service was great and the meal we had (steak florentina and mushroom tagliatelle) was exceptional. Would recommend this place to anyone.

We chose the restaurant simply because it has the same name as our elder son. What a great find! We arrived early but by the time our food arrived we were surrounded by Italians. We thought that was a good sign and it was. The People who served us were friendly and the food was excellent. The chef came out... More

This little restaurant is a little off center, but worth the walk. Tried amongst other things their "Bistecca alla Fiorentina". It was wonderful. Also tried their lobster pasta, that was half a plat of pasta and half a lobster!.

I ate at this trattoria on both trips I took to Firenze. Probably ate there 6 or 7 times. Always great. Sometimes the place was empty , sometimes packed. We were usually the only non Italians in the place. I have sent everyone I know going to Florence there. Always rave reviews.

My family was in florence for a few days and this restaurant was recommended to us. We had been traveling thru Italy for several days and had some great meals, but this was not one of them

By far the best meal we've had in Florence. Wait staff was extremely friendly and the chef came out to our table. Most authentic food from ravioli to seafood to florentine steak. Amazing!

We were told by our private tour guide to come here when we asked for a great recommendation for a local-feel type of place and were not disappointed. The food was amazing and we were able to see into the kitchen a cute staff working hard to prepare our delicious meals. We got the Florentine steak and the chef was... More

This was hands-down our most favorite meal of our Italian vacation! We researched several restaurants hoping to find an authentic steak Fiorentino, and Trattoria Roberto delivered! The decor and ambience are a bit lacking, but the food....my goodness....the FOOD! Unbelievably authentic, mouthwatering steak, and incredibly reasonable prices! We will dream about the food, and maybe even make it back to... More

Based on the good TA rating we called for a reservation. We were told they were full. Since Roberto was in the same street we lived, we passed in front of them on our way to the next best place. The restaurant was 3/4 empty. Was it to late (9pm) or they did not want us? We never went end... More
