We chose this restaurant for our last night in Florence based on the varied menu. We’re not big meat eaters so it was good to find fish options on a menu in a city of basically just meat and truffles. The dishes did not disappoint. I ordered a spaghetti vongole and a tirumisu and they were both extremely tasty and well presented. My parents very much enjoyed their dinner also. The service was great, she staff were extremely friendly and attentive with a lot of knowledge of the menu and wines. Limoncello after the meal was also a nice touch, often not done in Tuscany in comparison to the lakes. Overall, a very enjoyable and delicious meal!

Read the reviews: typical of Florence restaurant reviews. Half are from people who only ever ate at a food court giving it a 5*, while the rest is a mess of 1 to 4 stars complaining about this or that. Truth is much simpler: this is a nice little local eatery. It's not dissimilar to what you would find anywhere in Europe and the food is actually above and beyond my local Italian back in Blighty. The pricing is reasonable, the wine list passable but decent and the service 'normal' by Italian standards. The bread+oil were very poor which gave me PTSD of tourist traps but thankfully the mains and dessert were both above what you would expert in that price range. I must say I find the comments that compare this to Gordon Ramsay just as amusing as the ones complaining it wasn't to Ramsay's standards (which will set you back 1,200 euro per head for refrence, vs 30 euros here). This is a LOCAL italian restaurant. Unlike the eateries on the main arteries they won't rip you off - food is solid and the place gets a solid 4 from me. Thank you to the waiter who made me feel welcome despite me being alone :)

We visited this fantastic restaurant and the most immediate thing we noticed was the ambiance. We were greeted by the warm staff who carefully looked after us during our meal. We ordered a mixed Tuscanian platter (for two) and that came with a lot of quality food (cured meats, cheese, bruschetta, chicken liver pate...). Then we both had pappardelle with cinghiale (wild boar) and it was delicious. We could not fit anything else as the portions are quite generous. This is undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in Florence city centre!

If you want not to be disappointed, if you want to have amazing food and service, then, that’s the place to go. The food is incredibly good. Don’t miss their grilled octopus, or pasta di granchio ( past with crabs). The cheesecake is delicious and over all the service is very professional and friendly. They make feel home. During our 4 days in Florence we returned 3 times to eat there. Thank you again Giuseppe for making each of our dinner an special moment.

Cantinetta delle Terme was recommended to us by a fellow from Florence. It is on a narrow and not busy street not far from Ponte Vecchio and the mass of tourists. The dining area is small with not a great number of tables. It is formal while still being casual and comfortable. The presentation of wine and food is elegant. The wine list provides a nice selection with good choices and we were able to order an outstanding wine. Service was good. We enjoyed the food, with excellent frittelle di funghi. The moscardini was good, but the octopus was a bit overcooked and rubbery – if not overcooked, it clearly would be an outstanding antipasto. The branzino in crosta has a striking presentation, the portion was large and the flavor sumptuous. The tagliata di tonno was a great presentation of tuna, perfectly seared and cut. We debated about rating this restaurant with an excellent, but we seek to limit our rating to absolute perfection. As our expectation of this restaurant is high, when we return to Florence we will likely return to this restaurant and try other dishes. We heartily recommend it, especially if wanting a fine meal and wanting to step away from the crush of Florence tourism.

It is not the first time I visited the amazing Cantinetta delle Terme. As usual, quality is always at the highest level and, during these hard times, maximum respect for hygiene and distancing. The Wine List should also not be underestimated: it adapts to every palate thanks to its great variety and quality. Without a doubt, La Cantinetta is the first choice in Florence and I always recommend it, whether the preference is meat or fish. When You're in Florence, this is absolutely a Must!

It was a good sign that many in the restaurant were return customers regardless if they were from Florence or on a return international trip to Florence. The service stands out as does the pasta. We will return when we come back to Florence next week. The wine list is also good.

We were recommended Cantinetta Delle Terme by our hotel when we asked for a good restaurant serving fish. The food was absolutely amazing: in its presentation and taste. Tables around us were eating equally beautiful meals that looked like pictures on the plate. Service was friendly but not obtrusive. We’d been to Venice and then travelled onto Florence, this was our favourite Italian restaurant and best meal by far.

We went to this restaurant twice during our 2017 visit to Florence therefore because it was so good , when we returned this September 2022 we of course went back hoping for the same amazing food and weren’t disappointed! The food presentation is amazing and artfully adds to the dining experience. We ordered seafood each time but we saw steak served that was a head turner. If you enjoy seafood you must go. We recently had the grilled seafood, seared tuna, spaghetti and clams, shrimp risotto; all outstanding. This fabulous little gem is just steps from the Ponte Vecchio check it out and don’t skip dessert!

My family and I spent our spring break enjoying the wonderful surroundings Rome and Florence have to offer. We were delighted by each meal we consumed, but out of all the fine dining, Cantinetta Delle Terme was our favorite restaurant. The environment was so charming, and perfectly represented what Florence has to offer. We ordered the mouth-watering Florentine steak (my personal favorite), the raw prawn with truffle pasta, the pecorino with wild boar, and the tuna crusted with pistachio. In addition to the five star food, the staff was delightful. Giuseppe and one gentleman that we didn’t catch the name of, were our lovely servers. They were attentive, helpful, gave us suggestions, and overall just made our experience more magnificent than it already was. I would recommend this place to anyone or group traveling through Florence looking for a wholesome experience with delicious food.

Usually, when you think of Florence, you think of T-bone steak! Yes, it's definitely delicious. But for two Japanese people with small appetites, it feels like that's all we can eat. It's huge after all. This seafood restaurant is seriously delicious! And! The value for money and location are great! I think you can't go wrong with anything you eat. The photo is crab pasta. It was listed as today's recommendation. About 28 euros.

Terme has a lovely spare and comfortable atmosphere. The owners are so warm and welcoming and the menu is a treat! You will find both fish, seafood, and meat dishes which are prepared with an awareness to freshness and taste. Once seated, take a look at the well curated wine list. Each course offers beautifully prepared food. Most of my favourtie dishes include; seared tuna tartare appetizer, pistachio pesto pasta or pasta with clams. Try the salmon or tuna main course, you won't be disappointed! Full disclosure - in the ten days in Florence this fall, I enjoyed 3 dinners at Terme!

We went to this charming little restaurant for my friend’s last night in Florence and to celebrate my birthday. While in most respects, it lived up to its reputation and other reviews I’ve seen on TA, there were a few disappointments. First, let me say that I do love small spots such as this for their personalized atmosphere. Second, I was glad to find a place that features fish and seafood. The baby octopus appetizer really was delicious and my branzino was excellent. However, my friend, not being an adventurous eater, chose the steak and found it lacking. This was not the fabled Steak Florentine featured in so many restaurants in Florence. It was a much thinner cut and had a lot of fat on it. Mind you, it was still tasty, just not up to the standard for this city. Some of the other diners near our table (and there are very few tables here) ordered the crab featured on the menu, which is a real show stopper, and they seemed to love it. Now we come to my third point: dessert. We shared one of the best slices of cheesecake ever! More creamy and custardy than cheesy, it was light and delicious and went down way too easily. All in all, I’d recommend this restaurant for its fish and seafood, just don’t order steak here.

This place is a small seafood restaurant on a quiet street close to the busy tourist area and The Arno. We had an excellent meal here with great octopus risotto, tuna, good wine and of course friendly service. The menu has some wonderful choices and I would liked to have tried everything. It was also very nice to have an unhurried meal without being pushed along. Considering the location and quality the prices are quite reasonable. If you are looking for good seafood in Florence then this restaurant is a good choice.

Random find on google map, liked the menu and decided to visit. Great place! Nice, fresh and creative seafood which you crave after all these florentine steaks . Welcoming staff. Great quality, very nice specials! Nice vibe selections, half bottles are available for many reds and some whites. Loved the food from start to finish. The location may not be the most charismatic- no view or outdoor seating due to narrow street but food quality totally makes up for it. Highly recommend!
