This was truly an exceptional restaurant in the excellence of the food and the service of the staff. The cod balls are “to die for” and the sea bass in its sauce you couldn’t fault! We went back again 2 nights later and were again...and were not disappointed. Cannot recommend highly enough.More

An unexpected find and a total delight. Delicious food, excellent wine list and charming service that was attentive without being fussy. Have already booked for our last night.

It was a good sign that many in the restaurant were return customers regardless if they were from Florence or on a return international trip to Florence. The service stands out as does the pasta. We will return when we come back to Florence next...week. The wine list is also good.More

We were recommended Cantinetta Delle Terme by our hotel when we asked for a good restaurant serving fish. The food was absolutely amazing: in its presentation and taste. Tables around us were eating equally beautiful meals that looked like pictures on the plate. Service was...friendly but not obtrusive. We’d been to Venice and then travelled onto Florence, this was our favourite Italian restaurant and best meal by far.More

Terme has a lovely spare and comfortable atmosphere. The owners are so warm and welcoming and the menu is a treat! You will find both fish, seafood, and meat dishes which are prepared with an awareness to freshness and taste. Once seated, take a look...at the well curated wine list. Each course offers beautifully prepared food. Most of my favourtie dishes include; seared tuna tartare appetizer, pistachio pesto pasta or pasta with clams. Try the salmon or tuna main course, you won't be disappointed! Full disclosure - in the ten days in Florence this fall, I enjoyed 3 dinners at Terme!More

We had a reservation, but did not know seating was on 2 levels. We asked to be seated at an empty table on the entry level because stairs are difficult for us at our age. They said no - so we walked slowly down stairs...to a far corner table. The fish and pasta were tasty but were not hot when served. LOVED THE RISOTTO. Paying for our food was disturbing because the check showed items we did not order. They re-issued another check and after charging our credit card we noted a 2nd error - so they gave us 20 Euro in cash. It felt like we were seen as an old couple who would not notice the over-charging. Overall, a disturbing experience for what could have been a memorable meal.More

We went to this restaurant twice during our 2017 visit to Florence therefore because it was so good , when we returned this September 2022 we of course went back hoping for the same amazing food and weren’t disappointed! The food presentation is amazing and...artfully adds to the dining experience. We ordered seafood each time but we saw steak served that was a head turner. If you enjoy seafood you must go. We recently had the grilled seafood, seared tuna, spaghetti and clams, shrimp risotto; all outstanding. This fabulous little gem is just steps from the Ponte Vecchio check it out and don’t skip dessert!More

My mother and I dined here on our penultimate evening in Florence. We ate very well throughout our stay, but this was by far our favourite meal. Hidden down a quaint little street, lovely ambiance, lovely and friendly staff. We loved the bruschetta and tuna...tartare, but the saffron risotto was the highlight. Crème brûlée and tiramisu were also sensational. Restaurant catered for solo travellers, couples and families. An absolute must when in Florence.More

Amazing and delicious… the best food we had in Italy (well Florence, Siena, Elba, Forte dei Marmi). First class quality, cooking and value!

Read the reviews: typical of Florence restaurant reviews. Half are from people who only ever ate at a food court giving it a 5*, while the rest is a mess of 1 to 4 stars complaining about this or that. Truth is much simpler: this...is a nice little local eatery. It's not dissimilar to what you would find anywhere in Europe and the food is actually above and beyond my local Italian back in Blighty. The pricing is reasonable, the wine list passable but decent and the service 'normal' by Italian standards. The bread+oil were very poor which gave me PTSD of tourist traps but thankfully the mains and dessert were both above what you would expert in that price range. I must say I find the comments that compare this to Gordon Ramsay just as amusing as the ones complaining it wasn't to Ramsay's standards (which will set you back 1,200 euro per head for refrence, vs 30 euros here). This is a LOCAL italian restaurant. Unlike the eateries on the main arteries they won't rip you off - food is solid and the place gets a solid 4 from me. Thank you to the waiter who made me feel welcome despite me being alone :)More

We booked a table here on the recommendation of the staff from our B&B, who told us it is frequented by locals. We were not disappointed! The Florentine steak was excellent, and the wine recommendations to go with the courses as well! If we ever...find ourselves in Florence again, we'll certainly go back here.More

Cantinetta delle Terme was recommended to us by a fellow from Florence. It is on a narrow and not busy street not far from Ponte Vecchio and the mass of tourists. The dining area is small with not a great number of tables. It is...formal while still being casual and comfortable. The presentation of wine and food is elegant. The wine list provides a nice selection with good choices and we were able to order an outstanding wine. Service was good. We enjoyed the food, with excellent frittelle di funghi. The moscardini was good, but the octopus was a bit overcooked and rubbery – if not overcooked, it clearly would be an outstanding antipasto. The branzino in crosta has a striking presentation, the portion was large and the flavor sumptuous. The tagliata di tonno was a great presentation of tuna, perfectly seared and cut. We debated about rating this restaurant with an excellent, but we seek to limit our rating to absolute perfection. As our expectation of this restaurant is high, when we return to Florence we will likely return to this restaurant and try other dishes. We heartily recommend it, especially if wanting a fine meal and wanting to step away from the crush of Florence tourism.More

Recommend by our B&B host and we weren’t disappointed! The steak Fiorentina was the most juiciest and tenderest piece of meat during our stay in Florence. Excellent price/ quality and highly recommended.
