Five-star customer service and quality of food! We stumbled upon this place and are so glad we did. Attention to detail with customer service and food! Order the John Travolta! We didn’t, but we wish we would have. They gave us a taste and it...was beyond amazing. We loved everything we got, just wish the portion sizes were a little bigger.More

One of the best restaurants we had the experience of dining in while in Italy for 8 days. Fantastic menu, truly impeccable service and genuinely nice people taking care of our every culinary need. Claudio, the owner, is a true Gem! He loves what he...does and it shows. Thank you for making our stay in Florence memorable!More

My daughter heard this place was good so we decided to check it out. Good is an understatement! From the moment we arrived Claudio was a kind, charming, polite, and hilarious host. We ordered a lot but he brought us several delicious surprises throughout the...meal. The rustic Tuscan appetizer and “John Travolta” pasta were highlights. So was the bread. Actually everything was a highlight! Highly recommend and will be sure to return next time I’m in Florence!More

Best food we had in Italy. Claudio, the owner, was extremely hospitable and helpful.( We do not speak Italian) The place was immaculate and tastefully decorated. If we lived in Florence this would be a regular destination.

My husband and I went here with friends. Claudio, one of the owners, served us; he was helpful and entertaining. When deciding on wine, he allowed us to taste 3 different wines. Then there was the food, which was outstanding. When I couldn’t decide between...2 choices, he brought a small portion of the second with his compliments. He also brought a taste of the John Travolta pasta, which was fabulous. We will definitely return on our next trip to Florence!!More

We stumbled on this restaurant by accident while on our honeymoon, although it is not as highly rated as it should be on trip adviser. It was a hidden gem in Florence . Amazing food owned by Claudio and Martina who have been together for...over 50 years since they were 14 and 16 ( he’ll show u the picture if u ask) . They suggested dishes which were so yummy. A true taste of Italian hospitality, they kept giving us fresh warm bread because we were sitting outside and it got cold. They also served us a pasta taster we didn’t order because they felt we had to try it, it was amazing. Everything we had was so tasty. They were so friendly and funny, and their kind, caring nature added to our experience. We loved it . Finally u have to try Martina’s chocolate !More

As I sat down to finally write my review and looked over some of the prior reviews only to realize that some of what i thought were really clever and original comments were already made; 6 stars! best meal ever, wonderful. . etc. the fact,...this was definitely the best meal we had during two weeks in Italy and is easily a top 5 of all time. like many of my fellow reviewers, I am very well travelled and eat well at home and abroad - this place is truly something special, for a number of reasons. the logical place would be to start with the food but the dining experience was what was truly special. It is a curious thing when the owners, Martina and Claudio make you feel like family even though you are complete strangers. I was first disappointed and then amazed to find that everyone walks in a stranger and walks out feeling special; that is their true gift. the food was phenomenal. there were simple dishes and unique dishes, each delicious (the best homemade pasta and meat sauce on the planet!) . if you don't get to hear about and fail to try their "John Travolta" sauce you have missed out on something truly spectacular. it should be disclosed that on a 3 day trip to Florence we had two lunches and one dinner there. the final time, I was not only allowed to but encouraged to like the plate - I did! If you go to Florence and don't stop in - shame on you - you have missed a special dining experience.More

The staff were very welcoming, the food was great, and the atmosphere lovely. We had the pear ravioli and eggplant parm and they were exquisite. Best versions of these dishes we've ever enjoyed.

My wife and I discovered this gem by accident 10 years ago. This is our 3rd time dining with Claudio and it just keeps getting better. Claudio is the consummate host, knowledgeable, delightful, and a wonder to behold. We tried highly rated restaurants in Florence...but none measure up to what you'll get here. Every course was an explosion of flavor to the palate. If you're in Florence, don't miss this place!!More

If there was an option for 6 stars, or 20, I would pick the highest. I’m pretty well traveled and eat well even at home, and this is unquestionably the best meal I have had in my life. The owner is magnificent, and devoted to...ensuring that his guests have an unforgettable experience. Every bite is a masterpiece. The pear ravioli is so good that I cried, and that was just a starter. I would fly back to Italy just for another meal at Il Profeta!More
