One day only in Florence. Dropped in and what a treat. Lovely staff, simple but utterly delicious food that makes you half close your eyes and groan softly at first taste. Wonderful flavours achieved through quality ingredients and care in cooking, without resorting to tricks...like over seasoning. Sensible prices made great value given the quality. Will be back.More

I had dinner here with some friends, and we enjoyed the food. The wait staff was kind, they served us quickly, and I would go back again. Highly recommend the burrata!

We had two pizza and some wine. We went there around closing time. However they brought our food really quick and it was really delicious! It was a pleasant and quiet atmosphere and the local is the old-style type. We enjoyed our time there.

This place was absolutely the worst food we had during our entire time in Florence. I don't understand what all the high reviews are all about. The waiter was a sweaty, grouchy, dirty-looking dude who would not give us the time of day. The food...was so incredibly awful. As my wife passed by the kitchen, she spotted that all the pasta was already pre-cooked and laid out underneath a heat lamp. Just think about that. A heat lamp. It's pasta. It takes like two minutes to cook. What the hell is going on here? Not only that, but the pizzas were apparently not available. Like, what? The bruschetta was god-awful. Stale bread that looked like it had just come out of a freezer. They didn't even bother to toast it. It was truly horrible. There isn't a single good thing to say about this place. And if you are lucky, you read my review and you run far, far away.More

The food itself was very nice, but the service was not good. We spotted the restaurant from the street and asked if they were closed or if we could sit, since it was early in the afternoon. The woman who worked there said we could...sit and gave us menus. She then left the restaurant, and we sat and waited for some time before a different waiter came and took our order. It was obvious that the restaurant was not ready to open and that they were missing staff. They were running around us and yelling at each other. When the waiter came back with our drinks, we tried asking if they were closted and if we should just leave, but the waiter was very rude and blamed us tourist for waking up early and expecting to eat lunch too early (it was 12 at this point) in the morning. We tried to explain that we were told they were open, but he wouldn't listen and just scuffed at us. We contemplated just leaving at that point, but the food luckily came quickly after. Such a disappointment that Salvatore is no longer there. The food was fine but the place was quiet while other restaurants around it were bursting with life. Just not the same only nine months after our first visit.

This is an excellent place for a family to eat, the environment, the familiarity, they took care of us excellently! we had the wine of the house and 3 different pastas an all of them were outstanding! Luca was an excellent waiter, entertaining and kind.

We had a great lunch here. Right next to the fomo but not in the craziness. Best pizza we have had in Italy so far. Great recommendation.

They hate Americans. Aldi has better lettuce that's more tender and flavorful. This was tough and bad. Florentine tomato soup was luke warm. Spouse had insalata carprese and enjoyed it very much.
