The food was really good.but, they give me the worst place (somewhere behind the counter and corner which was dark) in the restuarant. They refuse to change my place. Felt so terrible there and left there as soon as I finished my meal. They offered me...discount for wine. But, whats the point?when u go to restuarant you want to have a nice time along nice food. I end up having a bad experience in this restuarant. The food is 4 out of 5 star while their hosting was 1 out of 5More

Loved this placed! As a New Yorker exploring Firenze, the vibe and people were great. Reminds me of a downtown cool vibe. The food is phenomenal, as well. Highly recommend their fried chicken and zucchini flour or artichoke if in season, papadelle with meat ragu...and raspberry tiramisu. Wish they existing in NYC.More

Family business and now sons are running the show. Thanks to Covid, we had the pleasure to sit outside on the plaza which made my best dinner in time. Service is incredible, food menu is simply delicious. All dishes we ordered were delicious. Our waiter...knew a lot about wine and match my taste! We will probably return before holidays will be finished!More

Forget the Uffizi, this is the best thing to do in Florence. Fabulous food, top atmosphere and just a great experience.

The best restaurant I have been to in 2020. Amazing traditional food - platter of cured meat was simply amazing, different from everything else we had tried - fiori di zucca pasta were delicious. Amazing.

We were lucky enough to be seated for a party of two as walk-up customers at 21:00 on a Friday night. Plenty after us were turned away, though some with bookings were still being seated at 22:30! Firstly, I loved the friendly banter with the...engaging but busy service staff as they all ran around the restaurant frantically looking after their guests, shouting (jovially) to each other and generally providing energy and entertainment! I thought the A4 hand written (scribbled!) 1-page menu, provided in English for those, like me, who don’t speak Italian, and dated - presumably proving it changes daily - was a great authentic touch that smacks of ‘you’re having what we made today’. Perfect! Excellent meat platter to start, perfect al dente pasta for primi, delicious chicken and cod for secondi, as predicted by the waiter “too full” for dessert. All washed down with a very palatable chianti. Excellent value at €90. For some nice reason (unknown) - the €90 had been scored through and €85 hand written next to it. No idea why, but a nice touch. As was the huge servings of complimentary limoncello at the end. Great, lively, evening. Excellent choice!More

Dear and beloved team of Vini E Vecchi Sapori, for many years my mother and I have been coming to the most beautiful city in the world and constantly booking a table in your magical place. When we first visited, it was somewhere in 2010...and you only had a few tables, the head of the family was cutting antipasti, mother was cooking in the kitchen, and figlio was serving food in a positive mood. Then you expanded, but this spirit remained cozy and warm. Nothing tastier and more heartfelt we have never met, visiting different countries of the world. We can even say that it is because of you that we visit Florence again and again. I really want to believe that you are all healthy. My mother and I wish you good health and success in the future, and we will definitely visit VVS again as soon as everything is over. With dreams of duck ragout and ossobuco)) Con voi cordialmente Anna from MoscowMore

A small wonderful local place. The food was terrific and the staff friendly. We had some difficulty finding it but were so glad that we did

Our family would not visit Florence without enjoying the special dining experience at Vini e Vecchi Sapori. Reservations are a must as the restaurant is small and intimate. The changing menu reflects outstanding family recipes, including pasta, artichokes, osso buco, and tiramisu. This Tuscan restaurant...is a superb family-run jewel.More

Hi, I would call the restaurant directly or have your hotel do it for you. I know they take reservations as many people arriving had them. I hope this helps. Enjoy!

I called the restaurant to make a reservation and do not speak Italian, but they were very helpful and were able to speak to me in English. (Lovely people!)
