I sat in the nice corner table by the door of this lovely old Ostoria near Porta San Niccolo, at a marble topped table sitting on a wooden banquette which circles the dining room. Delicious house red and grilled Pollo tagliata with balsamic and sliced...parmesan over rucola. Oh so delicious roast potatoes. And then creamy cheesecake and a coffee. I used to come here with my venerable Scottish technical shoe wizard guru, and it's even more delicious, although he is sadly not making it for dinner anymore, but he would be proud of them here I know.More

This place was recommended for a quicl lunch before going to the Airport by the Hotel David. We sat outside. Too many people cramped inside without masks! I ordered pasta, a thick macaroni dish with tomatoes and chillis. It was delicious. The second course was...as good. It was roast beef with lightly cooked spinach. Again delicious. The house wine was very good and I loved the place and the helpful young waiters. Most of the clientele were Italian, out for Sunday lunch, which is always a good sign. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.More

This restaurant offers quality Italian dishes but we felt that the service we received was rushed and intrusive. We did not have a reservation so we were told that we had to be finished within an hour and half which was plenty of time for...us. However, our waiter kept rushing us by asking for our orders every few minutes when we wanted to take our time ordering. It felt a bit intrusive and made us feel unwanted. However, the pasta we ordered was top quality (although small portion) for the price. The restaurant is also in a great location and has a nice Italian aesthetic. I think this restaurant would be brilliant for a reservation and for a multiple course meal, not just pasta and wine.More

Food was pretty good and reasonably priced but the service totally let it down. We booked a table for nine and when we arrived we were asked to wait five minutes. After twenty minutes of standing awkwardly outside we asked again to be seated (as...there was a table free) but we were told it was reserved. After about twenty five minutes we were seated (the other table was still free). It took a considerable amount of effort to attract the attention of the waiter to order food. We were then then given bread, and I reached behind my table to grab some olive oil and balsamic and the waiter (literally) shouted “we don’t just take, we ask”. He then lectured me about new measures following coronavirus and took the bottle from my hand (without gloves and with his mask covering only his mouth and not his nose) and passed it back to me. And then I used the bottle, after which it was placed back into the basket without sanitisation. So essentially a totally useless measure, perhaps the waiter just felt like shouting at someone. I rarely write reviews but to be honest found the evening pretty embarrassing/upsetting. I’d avoid.More

The place is located next to a small street but has a nice ambience. Food, especially the fiorentine beef was phenomenal. I recommend Medium to rare because that’s the traditional way, the waiter told us. The waiter was exceptionally nice and gave us quick informations...on how to usually eat it and why to pair certain food with beverages.More

We went there for dinner, typically italian Osteria, good location. Staff is friendly and helpful, they gladly answer all your questions regarding the menue, ingredients and wine. We expected good, traditional italian food, what we got was a blast! Really awesome Pasta, Linguine with Truffles,...and Pici with the best Tomatosauce I‘ve ever had. Prices are decent, and the portions are generous (u won’t leave hungry, I bet!). This place is an absolute recommendation!More

Food is brilliant, but check your bill! They added on an extra meal that we didn’t order, and didn’t miss a beat when we questioned them about it - almost as if they regularly add extra things to people’s bills and hope they don’t check!...As long as you’re cautious about that, you’ll get some good food hereMore

We were walking up to Piazza Michelangelo and found this lovely place. The food was great and staff were friendly. I wish we had enough time to go back there or spend more time there and try more of their menu. Worth the walk away...from the city centre. If we go back to Florence, we will definitely go back to this restaurant!More

We just happened upon this place but what a fantastic experience! We had the osso bucco and tagliatelle with wild boar. Both were AMAZING! The house red wine was superb as well.

There was a service charge in most restaurants we visited, same as in the U.K. I guess.
