Ate here 3 nights while in Florence, tried different things, menu in Italian only but waitress was very helpful in explaining any meals we were stuck with. Seafood spaghetti was lovely, had that twice, but all meals were good, gets very busy, excellent value for money.

Great service and delicious food make this a fantastic place for dinner. We tried to get a table outside a couple of nights prior but it was fully booked...understandably..... so glad we took a card and booked to return. And the prices way cheaper than around Ponte Vecchio....

Great place for a quick lunch and house wine! We had the pasta with boar sauce and pasta with seafood. Both were delicious. The house wine was good and cheap.

I highly recommend this place. We went on a recommendation and ended up going back 2 days later. I had steak the first night, my wife had pork loin. Both just melted in our mouthes, it was so..... good. The second night I had the Pappa Pomodoro and the Osso Buco with a side of Patate Arrosta. The Osso Buco... More

My boyfriend and I went here with the goal of trying typical Florentine cuisine and when we told the waiter our goal he could not have been more excited. He recommended the tripe (it was a combo of the 1st and 4th stomach with beans) and the chicken liver appetizer. We got both along with a couple beers and then... More

It was suggested by the barman at our hotel that we should wander over the bridge to try out one of the restaurants in this small strip. So without a reservation we wandered into this busy restaurant and we were seated inside as all outside tables were occupied/reserved. The room downstairs was warm (it was a hot day) but manageable.... More

Ate here a couple of times on our visit to Florence as we were staying in an apartment on Via San Niccoló, so this place was very near. Food was very tasty and the waiter spoke very good English. It seemed very popular, so a table reservation is advisable at least in peak tourist season and on weekends (at least... More

We walked down the hill via the stairs from Piazzale Michelangelo in search of this Osteria: Antica Mescita, San Niccolo , which was recommended by a butcher at the Florence markets. It was great. There's a bit of history to this place, which I'd read online and interesting if you get a chance. There's inside and outdoor dining. We sat... More

We had lunch at this unassuming restaurant on two occasions during our visit and found it to be excellent. On both times we had the €8 buffet which included a bottle of water. The buffet was absolutely fantastic with plenty of variety and all cooked/prepared beautifully. There were lots of vegetable dishes available making it suitable to vegetarians or indeed... More

Stumbled across this authentic restaurant. Meal was in Italian but the waiter was so lovely and generous with his time we were impressed. The food was amazing, we were then blown away with the delicious orange cheesecake! We go back to this restaurant in a heart beat!

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
