A great food, wine and service experience! The restaurant really deserves the star in Guide Michelin. Location and ambiance was perfect!

Our situation was a little bit different in the fact that we planned our wedding reception at La Terrazza and Chef Peter Brunel offered to cook for us. So we sat up on the terrace with Peter, and staff, who prepared dish after dish for us all night long. He literally was standing behind us with a portable workstation and... More

Staff & services were great, food was ok but nothing special. If your booking for a couple suggest the balcony for beautiful views.

The place is perfectly located with an astounding view to the "Ponte Vecchio", the food well deserves the one Michelin star, but the service although properly structured and courteous, is extremely SLOW. I understand that in Europe there is more of an enjoy the experience and take it easy type of dinning experience, but 35 minutes before asking to take... More

Borgo San Jacopo under the tutelage of Peter Brunel has reached a level of excellence that is simply fantastic and enjoyable. Each month we visit to try a new creation and indulge in the spectacular yet simple and refined food on offer. We are yet to be disappointed. Normally when you visit a Michelin starred restaurant there is a level... More

90 min for first two courses. Red wine was served slightly warm. Bathrooms (shared with hotel) ran out of essentials and staff spent 15 min running around to try to resolve. Napkin was never refolded. Did not get crumbed. Window sill was super dusty and had hundreds of dead bugs. Table was wonky and had to be fixed. We both... More

I was on the fence if BSJ deserves its Michelin Star based on my experience. Don't get me wrong--it's one of the most romantic restaurants we have dined at in Florence. We reserved the outdoor balcony seating with a beautiful view of the Arno River near Ponte Vecchio and enjoyed the sunset. We opted for the tasting menus: I got... More

The food and staff at this restaurant were both fabulous, we were really glad we managed to get a reservation. Small, beautiful portions so we were both able to manage 3 courses, along with the little extras they served too, without feeling too full at the end of the meal. I would highly recommend this place.

We booked this restaurant for our 20th wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint. We both had the potato and potato tasting menu and were continuously captivated by its presentation, ingenuity and amazingly balanced flavours. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance.
