Such a lovely place. There's a shop and cafe at the front, with a very comfortable restaurant area behind. The waiter was friendly and helpful. We loved the art on the walls and most importantly the food. You can choose a single dish from the...daily menu or 2 or more (presumably smaller versions) at a lower price. We shared the 30euro sharing option for 2 people, with 6 dishes selected by the chef. It was delicious, more than ample and very reasonably priced, as were the drinks.More
My family & I have been coming to this restaurant for years. I guess it feels so much like a prized institution, that I hadn't thought to write before. Vegans will be especially pleased: these dishes are highly creative - and tasty. Ingredients are organic...and fresh. Here the level of cuisine is that of an art: unique combinations that really work, a big variety in the dishes, as well as old faithful ones, like rice & pasta dishes. The menu changes often, according to season, availability - and inspiration! Moreover, they have combination meals, in which you choose several items from the menu to make a whole plate. Well let me start by saying that my entire meal was DELICIOUS. I took pictures but they don't do the meal justice. Staff are friendly and helpful. Drank local red wine. It was a neat discovery.
This was the first vegan restaurant that I went too while in Florence and I must say that it was incredible! I did the tasting for two, called the 'The Collection' and just loved everything (even my least favorite of the six was still excellent...and healthy). The organic and bio wines offered, was a wide range of Italian wines from many regions including Piedmont and Tuscany. The vegan desserts were also incredible and really a treat, after not being able to try so many desserts in Milan because of dairy. If you are in Florence, I would take the time to come here and check out this amazing bio restaurant. Everything from the food to the service and the interior was great. A lot of fresh flavors and nice presentation. We liked every single thing we ordered.
I gotta say I liked the food we had, but it was incredibly unfair the price they charged us. It wasn't a whole lot of food for such a high price.
We had an excellent meal at La Raccolta! Do yourself a favor and get the option to try multiple dishes. We shared three apps and three entrees (smaller portions of course). The broccoli flan, crudite vegetables with avocado, and tempeh were AMAZING. Seriously, it was...the best tempeh I've ever had. The waiter was super nice and actually translated the whole menu into English for us. Fantastic!More

This restaurant was recommended by the GM of our hotel. It is in the residential part of Florence, away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy sections. He said that this was his family's favorite restaurant and I can see why. The menu is...decided at about 7pm every evening depending on the produce they have in their store that day. We had the white saffron lasagne, Thai rice with vegetables and the house salad along with a fresh juice concoction. Every single dish was extremely well created and plated. The ingredients were fresh and the flavors delicately balanced. The only regret I have is that we discovered the restaurant on the last evening of our stay in Florence. Else we would have had the opportunity to come back and try more of their menu!More

A waiter was so kind that he explained every menu in English. You don't meet such help everywhere so I was already so pleased even before eating. I had a Macrobiotic plate and my suggestions are to first work on the way to cook brown...rice a bit more digestible (with a pressure pan if you have) and second to make proper miso soup (it had no taste of miso or dashi/broth) because they are vital in Macrobiotic cooking. Otherwise the steamed veggies with vegan mayo, beet and carrot sauce. I wonder if the menu for dinner and lunch are different? Next time I want to try one of those beautiful looking plates like lasanga starter or zucchini wraps.More
this place was the one we preferred to have dinner at. We came back 5 times to try out all the dishes that were on the menu. And we have no regrets. The staffs is very kind and friendly. The food was good and there...was many interesting tastes. I would recommend to try out the tempeh dish. My friend liked the thai rice a lot , and sister liked the lasagna. If you go there in the afternoon , you can have fresh juice. The place is also a little market where you can buy quite a lot of things. None of the dishes were too salty , perfectly seasoned. I would say that this restaurant should definitely be one you should go to if you go to firenze.More
We love more typical Italian food and are not vegetarian but sometimes want something lighter and without meat. We had a delicious dinner tonight at la Raccolta and it was exactly what we wanted. Dishes were inventive and very expertly prepared. Our waiter was attentive,...helpful, friendly, and of good humour. We were served some very delicious white Italian vegan wine. We recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys food, vegetarian or otherwise.More
La Raccolta is half a restaurant half a Vegan/Veggie grocery store. The restaurant of course uses the products that they sell in the store, so we are off to a good start with fresh and certified ingredients. Food was absolutely fantastic, the ambient is really...nice and cozy. Only drawback: price. I am sure that the products that they have are more expensive than common vegetables and other products, but I felt that the bill was really quite high for what we ate. Will certainly come back, because the food was great, but I hope that they work on the prices a little...More
This is a very welcoming restaurant / cafe / health food shop and a market. Fresh and very tasty vegan, gluten free and vegetarian options. Big menu, not a buffet. I had a platter of four dishes - Thai rice cooked with spices and satsuma,...sautéed with sweet potato and daikon creme (gf) plus Borlotti beans (gf, vegan) plus roast potatoes with Jerusalem artichoke (gf, vegan) plus THE MOST AWESOME chestnut and pumpkin muffin (gf, vegan). All for 12 Euro. Very filling, but I could it resist and had a chocolate cake, also gf vegan and super delic The staff are very friendly, happy people, speak great English. It's clean, bright and very pleasant decor. There is a health food shop too, with assortment of GF, vegan and organic stuff and wine too! Fresh veggies and fruit as well. The hidden restaurant in the back of ,oh my good my favourite food shop in italy, is such a lovely spot! Everything in the shop was organic,fair trade and biological...the atmosphere in the restaurant itself was extremly chilled and comfortable :) any kind of people...was there for dinner (very nice for people watching :D ). The staff was very ftiendly,Service was quick and the food a dream! I have nothing to complain about and will defenitely be back! :)More
