We stumbled across 'Lob's Fish' as our hotel was close by, and how lucky we were to find it. (and that they had a free table, booking is recommended). I am a vegetarian and my mother really fancied a fish meal and this restaurant catered for us both very well. This was one of the only restaurants I visited that... More

Had a fabulous meal here last week with brilliant service. I had the scallops to start (which I thought were slightly over priced at 18 euro for 3 scallops with aubergine and courgette but they tasted lovely) and then lobster pasta (this was amazing I cleared the plate!). My husband had the ham and mozzarella starter and the squid/prawns main,... More

Florence, Tuscany region is known for MEAT. But when you want a break and crave seafood, the restaurant hits the spot. From the moment you sit down, you are greeted with a complimentary welcome glass of bubbly. The decor is great, really seaside feel. The seafood is fresh and well seasoned. Service was great. We loved the globe on the... More

Quaint - but not special - surroundings, very friendly, good service, but poor portions at high end prices. A bit hard to find as it is only a small facade and heading for a scruffier part of the city.

We were impressed with this place as soon as we walked in! Lovely maritime themed decor and very friendly and attentive staff. This was one of the nicest meals I've ever had and very reasonably priced. We will return again before we leave Florence!!!

Sea food restaurant on busy Florence street, 3 of us ate here and as one of us is vegetarian were pleased there was a separate veggie menu. Free prosecco on arrival & sorbet at the end. Very friendly service. About 135 Euros for 3 of us having 2 courses each & wine.

Found the restaurant on trip advisor and after a long walk/search around Florence to find it, it was more than worth it. Ignore your first impression from outside and you'll have some of the best seafood you've ever had. Excellent service and free glass of Prosecco on arrival. We had the deep fried anchovies to start followed by the seafood... More

We visited Lob's Fish restaurant as part of my 50th birthday celebrations in Northern Italy in July 2016. This has to be the highlight of our food experience in our week. Food = Truly excellent. Wide selection, very fresh, perfectly cooked. Service = Couldn't do enough. Glass of Prosecco on arrival. As much time as we needed to select dishes.... More

A small restaurant in a narrow street. Afree glass of prosecco given to us at the start of the meal. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The portions were large and food was very good.

The seafood is some of the best we have ever had, and we are lucky to have eaten well all over the globe. Get the mussels and the catch of the day. We cleaned our plates and soaked up the sauce with our bread. It's a place where locals go, but the amazing staff makes you feel welcome. Just go!
