The food was so good we ate there twice in our 4 day stay in Florence. We particularly loved the slow cooked wild boar, the huge Florentine T-bone steak and the cheese soufle like starter. Not cheap but good value for money. It was also nice to see some great tasting wines on the wine list priced below 30euros.

It seems like every trip needs to have a real mistake; this place was this trip's. The place looked cosy enough, but the service and food was poor, we got billed for more than we had, we ordered a half bottle of wine but got a small pitcher of another wine - but was charged for the bottle just the... Their fiocchini with pear and gorgonzola is truly excellent. Everything else we had was very tasty. We had a lovely dinner at Natalino and would not hesitate recommending it. Great restaurant

I travel to Florence a lot and many restaurants are empty on a Monday night in November. On this occasion Natalino was quite full with a good atmosphere. Food is typically Tuscan, good quality ingredients and solid cooking skills rather than anything exceptional or sophisticated. The steak tartare was excellent and the papardelle al cinghiale quite good. Coffee was very... More

There is a pasta dish; stuffed bows with Pear and Gorgonzola. It's ridiculously good. I think they had english translation on the menu but if not this is what it's called: Fiocchini* di pere e pecorino al Gorgonzola.

I went here every night for aperitivo. The food is great, it can be pricey depending on your taste. It has a great atmosphere!

We had a delicious meal here. Filled with locals, the restaurant boisterous and friendly environment. The pear ravioli with gorgonzola sauce is the best pasta dish I had during my visit to Italy - amazing!! I highly recommend the restaurant. It's a short walk from the Piazza della Republica. The restaurant Natalino has reportedly been around for 130 years in... More

We went here on our first evening in Florence and managed to dine without a reservation. We particularly wanted to eat wild boar so opted for the "Pappardelle al cinghiale" which was divine! We followed that with an old fashioned cheese cake which was also excellent. A good reliable restaurant.

We went here on the recommendation of the concierge at the Savoy. It was among the worst meals I have had in any restaurant, reminding me more of school meals than anything else. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST, SPREAD THE WORD.

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
