Outstanding everything! Food, presentation, service, atmosphere and location can't be beat. A perfect spot for a romantic dinner or group celebration.

We arrived very late so our hotel booked the restaurant for us - we arrived and were able to skip the queue because of this! Food was amazing - we only had one course each but the spaghetti al vongole and seabass dish were particular highlights. Good house red too. Would definitely revisit!

This dinner was the most mediocre of all the meals we had in Rome, Florence and Cinque Terre. While it wasn't bad, there are plenty of other restaurants that far surpassed this. This was not on our list of restaurants and when the hotel was unable to book a table at the one we wanted to go to, she had... More

For me a good italian restaurant is the one that combine great food, service and atmosphere, Gargani has the 3 of them. Its the only restaurant, after a 10 days experience in Florence I wanted to go back. My last dish was Pasta with Bottarga, if you like seafood pasta with good balance in flavors this should be your choice.

This was by far the best meal we had in Florence. From the outside this place is un-assuming; however the food and service speak for themselves. It's a very quaint and eclectic place. Definitely get the Steak Florentine...the flavors are superb!! The staff is extremely attentive and even brought us Limencello shots after dinner as a thank you! I highly... More

Busy restaurant with a true Italian flair. Very good food, very friendly owner and staff. Enough menu choices but not overwhelming. Good wines at good prices

Trattoria Gargani was recommended to us by a friend before visiting Florence. The Steak Florentine was delicious, as well as the roasted potatoes! Great atmosphere, very romantic and unique.

This was our second visit to this lovely Trattoria. We found it last year because it was across the street from our hotel. We were just as blown away this year by the food. We chose a Rose wine Tenuata del Bounamico from the Naples area. Light, cold, crisp and tasty. My husband and I split all of the courses.... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
